Talk about being Kiasu, I took it to another level today. Well, all I can say is, I finally know how it feels to be Singaporean.
As my smile traverses from ear to ear, I will once again gasconade in my one day limelight to lionize my appearance in today’s theSTAR newspaper, In Tech, 15th Dec 2005. With that, I’m gonna say this words that I know I’ll never say again, unless by some freak of nature I decide to pose for Playgirl (LOL!), “I MADE THE CENTERSPREAD!!”.
For those of you who are at sea or out of sync with the world, or permanently lost souls, here’s the link to the my rare appearance in the STAR.
This was my vanguard writeup, in full view below. You will then start to agnize the deviations and eventually substantiate the “alteration” of the writeup.
1) Canon Digital IXUS 750First of all, having owned a Ixus-430, and used a few other digital cameras (Sony, Nikon, Konica, Olympus) I would say that the Canon IXUS lines are the cushiest to use. Professional photography converges with amateur handling. It also has a prodigality feel to it that it emboldens you to take it everywhere to show off!
2) Canon DV Camcorder DC20It supports DVD-RW and DVD-R and it’s compact. I am able to record “memories” on DVDs rather than giving it to some shoddy tape to VCD crappy service. Futuristic design. It also has DVD recording capabilities and a miniSD card slot for capturing stills. OLE!
3) Pioneer DVD/CD Receiver AVH-P7500DVD (In-Car Entertainment)It plays DVDs (DVD, DVD-R/RW) , CDs (CD, CD-R/RW) with a touch panel display that supports MP3. It also has a built-in TV-Tuner. The system also has auxilliary input so I could colligate it with a portable MP3 player. Another cool feature is the Back-Up Camera Input, where I am able to see the back of my car while reversing. Unnecessary coolness!
Add on Real-Time Vehicle Dynamics Processor This product I found it by sheer luck while browsing. It’s suck a kickass system. It certainly notches up egotism to next level.
It’s a car monitor analytics - acceleration, lateral G-forces, estimated horse power, torque, RPM, slope angle, velocity, battery and a GPS locator…*GASP*. I’ll be chugging down the highway listening to Bon Jovi while driving like Michael Schumacher! Pity it doesn’t come with a radar detector.
4) Sony DVD Hifi - AZ Series - DHC-AZ7DMWhy this? Well, first of all, I think Sony make good home entertainment systems. This system makes life easier to hook up portable MP3 players or PC to its system via its USB port. Supporting various media formats is a must these days, except I think a cassette deck is so freaking unneeded. The Karaoke function is an additional plus too. Common sing with me….Falalalala lalalala!
5) Denon DJ Product DN-D9000Can you imagine intertwining this DJ system to the Sony DVD? I could do live music mixing records. I have been gunning for a DJ system that supports MP3 playback for sometime now. The ultimate mother-of-all feature - an independent and simultaneous playback of another track from the same disc! That means I can play 4 tracks at one go through 2 CDs! CDR/RW support! MP3 support! Digital scratching! Woohoo! Woohoo! Maybe I could show that Tiesto fella a trick or two. I think he may get obnubilated seeing that he (or any other obnoxious trance DJs) does not need to apply his brains when mixing trance music.
6) MP3 Player - Creative Zen VisionIn the spirit of convergence, a 30GB mp3 cum photo cum video player would nicely fit the theme. 30GB of sheer space to store my 3700++ mp3s. Can transfer photos directly from digital camera. It also comes with a voice recorder (to record politicking activities in the office), personal organizer (sync with Outlook) and an FM Radio (What the f**k??)
Hmmmm….having just read it again, I think I should stick to my day job! Hahahaha!
