This is not a jiwang entry. I just wanted to divvy up with you a rare gem by Bryan Adams. Chances are, you may not have heard this, unless if you’re a true Bryan Adams’ fan and not the one off Summer of 69 fan, where you tattle your lungs out when it’s played at a local pub or nightclub. If you are one of those, you’re pathetic, go get a life, or even better, extradite your sorry buttockses to Borneo. They’re petering out of orangutans, so I’m sure you’d be a welcomed sight. But if you support Man Utd, there’s no hope for you at all in this world. LOL
If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call to make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting? Some of the biggest gauntlets in relationships come from the fact that most people embark on a relationship in order to get something: they’re attempting to find someone who’s going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will survive is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take.

I kept on refreshing on your blog as it was counting down the next entry you are on.
Ah well, I don’t know if there are those who are looking for people that can make them feel good. But I am sure I want both, to give the best (or second best) to the relationship and feel good about the reward of being pampered and loved!
GIVE and TAKE are equally called BLESSINGS.
Cheers
Btw: something wrong buffering the songs….MU sucks..haha

No matter what you say about my team, I still love you, Daniel. *sniff*sniff*
I still hug you, too.

meekiee I suppose, but if we go into a relationship with the expectation to take is higher than to give, it won’t work. My web host is having some network problems. It should be okay now. Let me know what you think of Bryan Adam’s song.
Jemima I’m lost for words. Now that has got to be love. LOL. *HUGS*

hey..gallivanter, Summer of 69 was a great album! My fave Bryan Adam song is Please Forgive Me though …
October 4th, 2006 at 9:26am
tihtahpah Agreed. Summer of 69 is a kickass song. I’m talking about the one-off fan. Please Forgive Me is a good song too. I think Bryan Adams has the best vocals in rock music. “Back to You” and “Heaven” are my favorites as well.

Best vocals ar? My vote goes to Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler and GUns N Roses Axl Rose.

Don’t think Bryan Adams has the best vocals…his voice is sexy though hehe
October 4th, 2006 at 1:30pm
tihtahpah Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler is okay, but Bryan Adams voice is very distinctly husky - perfect for Rock. As for Axl Rose, his vocal chords needs to be removed as it’s is so screechingly annoying! If not for Slash, Guns N Roses are nothing.
Che-Cheh So who in your opinion has the best rock vocals?
October 4th, 2006 at 5:51pm
eh..so anyone heard of The Darkness- the lead singer has a very nice voice. I kinda like Tom Chaplin from Keane too.
October 4th, 2006 at 5:53pm
And..for female category- i dont think anyone can top Blondie and Heart
October 4th, 2006 at 6:17pm
tihtahpah Darkness and Keane are relatively new. And I can’t recall neither’s voices.
I’m more old school.
However, I agree with you on HEART, what about Tina Turner? BTW, Bryan Adams, Heart and Def Leppard share the same recording producer/writer in Robert John Lange. That dude also produces albums for his wife, Shania Twain.

Dan, yes of course we don’t go overboard expecting the unrealistic. You know, there are indeed couples like this and still stay happily ever with no complaints.
They are willing to do everything basically! But I suppose with the mentality we have, which is well-defined and educated by our culture now is getting less and less. Now, the women stands up and fight for their rights, they want equality of everything. Ok, sorry to say I am conservative about this. I believe man is still the head of the house. There is no way we can be equal! You mean to ask them to suffer for 9 months of pregnancy? Eh, my You is not the You referring you lah…By being meek, doesn’t mean we are weak. By being submissive doesn’t mean we are inferior to men.
Coming back to the song, why always make my eyes teary?
“When you love someone, you’ll sacrifice
You’d give it everything you got and you wont think twice. Youd risk it all - no matter what may come.” So true…..

WOW… deep man..

meekiee Good points. Our upbringing in life has somewhat been influenced by the expectations of society, hence we are discreetly pressured to jump right into a relationship. Hence my longanimous approach.
Obviously men and women are not equal, and both provide different strong points to the table. And pregnancy is sacred, which is best left to women because chances of men bollocksing is pretty high - I would probably drown the infant in JD. LOL! I take it you like the song.
Lex Deep as in deepavali? I know, a lame reply, but am too darn tired after replying to meekiee. Stomach bushelled with chocolatey goodness.

*GASP* Axl Rose needs to have his vocal chords removed!!! Sacreligious man!! Me and my bro grew up worshiping him…we even named our nephew AXL!!!
Having said that, i must agree with you that Bryan Adams has fantastic vocals. I absolutely love “When you love a woman” (I think that’s the title) and “The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You”. I thought he totally ‘rocked’ that one!
October 4th, 2006 at 8:47pm
sabrina It’s the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Guns N Roses do rock (thanks to Slash), but to say Axl Rose has the best vocal chords, bewilders me. The dude practically sings through his nose - though many ardent fans won’t admit. LOL.
Oh ya, “When You Love a Woman”, for a minute there I got it confused with the same title sung by Journey (that’s a great song too). Adams has some great tunes, such a pity tho that he has yet to bless Malaysia with his presence.
