The BEST hip hop song EVER, is made popular by a group of white American-Irish blokes. HOUSE OF PAIN’s Jump Around will go into the folklore of rap music as the GREATEST hip hop song ever.
If you beg to differ, then you’re a nutcase. Give your bollocks/knockers a whang! LOL. Were there ANY rap songs that was/is more attention-getting than this one?
Since it’s Friday, a day all of us love, click on the play button above to jump around to wherever you are. Do it!
There were a number of SUPERB hip hop tunes in the early 90s. I’m talking about defining songs and not your lame Jay-Z/Ja-Rule stuff. Those imbeciles were poseurs. Remember these classics?

Alex 2pac? Think he’s overrated.
I’m sure at one time you were a huge closet Vanilla Ice fan. Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with us. LOL
Larawannabe Yes, we are turning into our parents.
Can you imagine future generations will listen to Britney Spears and Westlife as their “classic” oldies. Hahahaha!
philters Old school indeed. Super numbers man.
Yatz Believe or not, I didn’t really rate Mc Hammer. Found him mildly irritating. I believe Mc Hammer invented Techno. LOL
Mr D These are the classics.
Wombat Perhaps a different entry? Actually, I can’t recall that many 80s hip hop music. Errr..Bel Biv Devoe?

Dude these are already new
And half of them aren’t even hip-hop, they are dance, like KLF and Snap are dance.
If I had to go for the most influential/best/etc rap/hip-hop I’d go for those from NWA who invented the whole gangsta genre, something from ONYX for being hardcore and number one would probably be The Sugarhill Gang – Rapper’s Delight from 1980.
Other good ones from the 80’s would be:
Run D.M.C. & Aerosmith – Walk This Way (1986)
Grandmaster Flash – The Message (1982)
Public Enemy – Fight The Power (1989)
Salt N Pepa – Push It (1988)
N.W.A. – Fuck Tha Police (1988)
Beastie Boys – Fight for Your Right (1986)
Grandmaster Flash – White Lines (1983) (My favourite probably)
N.W.A. – Straight Outta Compton (1988)
These are the first generation real origins of current rap/hip-hop.

Robert Come on then, show us some of your moves..
Joash You gotta be kidding me, Too Phat???
ShaolinTiger Dude, if you had read the entry carefully, you would’ve noticed that I blogged about 90s and not 80s.
Looking at your 80s list, not bad, I like NWA. Both Snap! and C&C were hip hop back then…
BTW, Beastie Boys are an embarrassment to hip hop! Hahahaha!
