meekiee I watched Lake House last week. Kinda lame if you think of the whole idea. Didn’t like the movie. :-) It looked more like they were only interested in getting Reeves and Bullock together again instead of concentrating on the story.

    Sha Good choice. :-)

ah well, i personally like the screen couple. I suppose it is still a romantic story if you put aside logic of the time. This movie depicts loneliness of both, you see living in 2004-2006, they could have used email, SMS to find out more abt each other. But they used handwritten letter instead. Handwriting gives more depth to the characters and their willingness to wait for one another. I know it’s ridiculous when you be rationale, thinking about Kate asked Alex to stop writing to her, to let her continue to lead her life. It was because Kate finlly realised she was living in a dream and that Alex would not turn up in the restaurant because they lived 2 years apart. Alex asked if he could get another chance but Kate refused to. But the truth was, Alex died. Remember? How could he turn up if he’s dead. Alex ’supposed’ to die in her arms (remember Valentine’s day?) As soon as she discovered about his death from his bro, she drove back to Lake House, wrote him a letter and asked him to wait, do not cross the street. See, there was another chance given to the couple. To the world, as long as one loves another there shall not be any reason (except undeniably fact of life) to be apart from each other.
Aiyah, just follow your intuition, it is still a worth watching movie.

~ I wanna hold your haaannnddd…I wanna hold your handddd~

    I agree with Sha!

I have a vague memory of my dad belting this song to my mother in one of their company parties. Vaguely.

I do however, remember being acutely embarrassed because it was too mush for words. Lol.

meekiee Well, the acting’s not too shabby, but the story’s still a little far-fetched to me. :-)

Ness A simple and unambiguous yet fun-lovin song. Typical of the 60s. They were so upbeat back then about life, makes one a little green-eyed just to think of it.

Its hard to tell which is my prefered favourite Beatles’ song. Coz I like many of them… in fact I learned english thru their songs. Ha.

I think when I’m sixty four, I will hold a Beatles impersonation performance with a few friends. But thats 39 years in future.

    Galli, try “I Feel Fine”.

    Hush! *Jemima is singing*

“When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, …..

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, …..”

*Jemima bows & leaves the comment box*

Dr Emmentt Brown would disagree with this movies story. and was heard saying ” Great Scott!! without the 1.21 jigawatts needed to have a temporal dislacement of the space time continuum …this predicament was near damn impossible”

endroo G “I Feel Fine” sounds like “Ticket to Ride”. When I’m 64, I’d probably perform Bon Jovi (albeit a few keys lower). :-)

Larawannabe This song reminds me more of Mr Bean than Beatles. LOL

Jemima *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*

tihtahpah Downloaded “You’ve Go To Hide…” and “Stand By Me”, and didn’t like ‘em. Guess we have our differences after all. :-)

Mo Lake House is nowhere near the classic Back to the Future. And “if my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour… you’re gonna see some serious shit.” :-)

How can you forget the infamous Sarjan Pepper Lonely Heart. It’s the best album in the world because the music is made under influence of drugs.

Gawd, I don’t like the Beetles ‘cos I was born in the 60s and all my big bros and siss played on the grammaphone/vinyl records (right spelling?) was Beatles, so much so that I am sick of it. :)

    Oct 9th, 2006

Alex Yup, it does, don’t bother. Try watching TALLADEGA NIGHTS when you get the chance. Hilarious.

Ganjaweed Yes, “infamous” indeed. I think it’s a crap album, apart from With a Little Help From My Friends….thanks for weeding by. LOL

lilian Don’t like the Beatles? Well, fair enough, I’m not a huge fan myself either, but I admit, I do like a couple of songs..thanks for dropping by… :-)

Alamak, Gallivanter, how can you not know In My Life- nice song!

    There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
    Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
    With lovers and friends
    I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
there is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
