MJ’s song that I’ll never get sick of listening to is: “Heal The World”. ;)

my fave MJ songs- The Way You Make Me Feel and I Just Can’t Stop Loving You. Also his kid-days song- Ben..when he was with Jackson Five. Voice is so soulful even at that age.
I went to MJ concert too…but my best concert experience was probably Eagles concert.

Jemima “Heal the World” is alright. :-)

tihtahpah Yes to both songs! As for Ben, not really my cup of tea. I think the best Jackson 5 song was “Can You Feel It?”. MJ’s definitely THE performer. :-P

Hmm. Never heard this MJ song before. I have only been to 1 concert in my life, and that’s Taiwanese singer Lee Hom… But I watched the Hell Freezes Over Concert by The Eagles & that was awesome…

Chris Tucker (Best known for the Rush Hour movies) cracked me up in the “You Rock My World” film/audio clip :D

MJ’s best stuff by far was in the 80’s and came from the “Thriller” & “Bad” albums.

Joash Yup, this song would’ve done fairly well if it was released as a single. Don’t think Eagles will ever outdo MJ. If only you’ve attended his concert. :-)

Minny You Rock My World is a cool track. The “Thriller” and “Bad” albums were definitely his best works. Thought “Dangerous” was kick ass. Enjoyed “Off the Wall”, “History” was okay, “Blood on the Dancefloor” tanked (though I enjoyed the title track!), and “Invincible” failed to ignite his career.

I LOVE MJ!! And I’m not ashamed to admit that. I watched his MTV awards performance 1995 on DVD and I was completely blown awayyy. That wasnt just a performance. That was a mini concert altogether.

    He’s a freaking genius

My fave MJ song is “She’s out of my life” but “Childhood” is nice too – something like his autobiography! The old ones – I’ll be there, Ben, Can u feel it…or Man in the mirror, Earth Song etc are all nice too!! He’s an icon, beyond doubt!

I love all his songs from the album titled HIStory: Past, Present and Future.

My best concert ? Savage Garden but that’s just because I know how to sing their song.

but the best rocking concert I’ve been to is Linkin Park!!! Wohooooooooooooooo

hey,, i beg to differ, I went to both MJ and Eagles concert…Eagles’ better! MJ’s too commercial. Eagles,…well, if you’re an old heart…you will love it. The concert was sorta mystifying somehow as we all sang along to Easy, Peaceful Feeling, Witchy Woman and Best of My Love……

The only live concerts I have ever been to were in Melbourne, Australia. One is Cold Chiesel’s concert and the other is Men At Work in a pub before they made it big in the USA. Wanted to go to one of INXS’ with Michael Hutchence still alive but failed. And since I am stucked on the edge of Malaysia now, my chances of ever seeing another great concert is zilch.

The best concert I have ever seen in cinema/TV must be Led Zeppelin’s “The Song Remains The Same”.

tihtahpah : And how do you rate their Hell Freezes Over unplugged version of Hotel California?

  13. Larawannabe

    Oct 17th, 2006

    mine…

the best — MJ concert [yup, the same 10 year ago concert ;-) ] and linkin park [mirroring che-cheh: woohooooo].

the most surprisingly enjoyable — westlife.
surprising, because i can actually sing-a-long to most of the song they performed at that concert and that some how makes it enjoyable. lol!

Sha And so do I! :-) All his performances are first rate. The way he brings to live all his MTV videos during his concert is sheer genius!

suituapui Didn’t like “Childhoood”. He’s not only an icon, but THE icon. :-) Can you imagine the desolation when the world loses MJ? Yikes!

Che-Cheh My fav track from History is THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US. Pity I skipped Linkin Park as I never really rate them. But I’m sure they rocked!

tihtahpah No way MJ is inferior to Eagles. Eagles may sound better LIVE, but no one can ever entertain like MJ. I don’t know whether I’ll enjoy an Eagles concert, but I’m sure they won’t be as BORING as Coldplay. Coldplay songs are okay, but can you imagine the concert? LOL

Wombat I’ve attended no less than 6 concerts in my life (for this alone I wish I was living in Europe). Apparently, the taxes in Malaysia are too high, and coupled with ridiculous rules, it’ll remain this way. :-( The unplugged version of Hotel California is really good btw.

Larawannabe Westlife? Good golly! On second thoughts, I take the part of Coldplay being boring back! LOL

Wombat: Well, the unplugged version of Hotel California is better some might say, but i’m a stickler for the original one. I thought the guitar solo in the original one was more kickass…hahaha. But my favourite Eagles song is not Hotel California, my faves are New Kid In Town, Best Of My Love, I Can’t TEll You Why :) I’m so glad i went to the Eagles concert in Singapore i think 2 years ago – they’re old but they still rock. OH man, i wanted to go to the INXS concert in Malaysia, but din really like JD Fortune, nothing compared to Michael Hutchence. Elegantly Wasted ;)

  16. Gallivanter

    Oct 17th, 2006

tihtahpah Actually, JD Fortune’s voice is not too bad. Though he lacked the level of charisma that Hutchence radiated, he’s still alright – I blogged about the concert a while back. Noticed all your Eagles tunes are slow numbers…why don’t you “Take it Easy”? LOL

  17. tihtahpah

    Oct 17th, 2006

OH..i agree about COLDPLAY *yawn* *Double Yawn*. Agreed on that bit about MJ being a better performer though. And Marty Casey sounds better than JD Fortune! JD’s boring. Voice is common. He lacks charisma and sexiness. And Eagles tunes are timeless! “Take It To THe Limit!”

  18. Gallivanter

    Oct 17th, 2006

tihtahpah Very true – MARTY CASEY is way better! But problem for him was, he was just too good for INXS! :-)

tihtahpah: My fave Eagles songs – Unplugged version of HC, King Of Hollywood (Long Run album), Lying Eyes (Waitresses tend to dab a tear whenever I sang this in karaoke, and I am sure it is not because of my voice) :-)

  20. tihtahpah

    Oct 17th, 2006

“Coz You can’t hide those lying Eyes”….ohhhh..i like that one too :) . Frankly I am an Eagles Fan, so there’s hardly any song that i hate. Seriously.

  21. Ness

    Oct 17th, 2006

    I believe he’s innocent too!! :D

I watched his concert when he was in Brunei. It was on New Year’s Eve…ahh… the next day I went and bought ALL this CDs.

Leeching that time tak main. LOL.

My favourite song is “Remember the Time”.

  22. earl-ku

    Oct 17th, 2006

One of the few we hate to admit that we do listen to their songs … but hey he was the one i listened to in my huge bulky walkman back then …

  23. Gallivanter

    Oct 17th, 2006

Ness He is innocent. Just terribly naive and mentally buggered thanks to his upbringing. “Remember the Time” is a classic! Great choice! :-)

earl-ku Well, seriously, I don’t hate to admit that I’m a huge fan of MJ. ;-)

    There were doolin…doolin dalton….

Well, people wont call MJ the king of pop for no reason. My favourite MJ’s songs? Too much. The top 5 are Beat It, Who Is It, Give It To Me, They Dont Care About Us & Human Nature.

Btw, i have to express my ignorance… Eagles held a concert here in Malaysia?? when was it? maybe i was still a lil’ kid at that time….

    “James Dean”

Ooh Michael rocks!!!! I myself recently wrote a post on him cos i think he is so so so talented! I really can’t narrow it down to one choice…that’s almost like asking a girl which pair of shoes is her favourite! Mission impossible, dude.

And yes, that concert was totally awesome.

    Michael!Michael!Michael!

    Oct 17th, 2006

endroo G Good choices of songs. “Give In To Me” featured SLASH on the guitars. “Beat It” of course featured Van Halen. :-)

    Oct 18th, 2006

sabrina MJ is eccentrically gifted. I’m in the same boat, with the choice selections and not the shoes of course! LOL

Alex And a hehe to you my friend…RIP LV. Whenever I listen to Luther Vandross’ DANCE WITH MY FATHER, tears swell up la…yikes!

Btw, I quote 50 Cent as saying this when was asked about Asian collaborations:

“I’m interested in it. I had club scenes in my ‘Outta Control’ video where everybody was pretty much Asian. When Michael Jackson did his ‘Black or White’ video, I had no idea at all why he showed us people from different places and cultures because I hadn’t left Queens. After travelling and seeing things I’ve seen, I totally understand why he did that. I’ve realised that anyone who embraces music wants a representation of them.”

endroo G: Eagles’ concert was held in Singapore i think 2years back. I took a bus down to singapore to see it…Worth my SGD110. A lot of uptight singaporeans and gwailos were dancing in the stadium…had a bit of “New York Minute” there..heheh
MJ videos are still the best i think. My fave is Billie Jean video
