Ramly Burger. Is your mouth watering now just thinking of it? To me, this is the KING of burgers, and no fast food will ever come close. The dude, Ramly Moknin is now a multi-millionaire.
The ultimate burger has always been the Ramly Burger Special. Yowza! Double beef patty with egg. Yummy to the tummy! And it could even be customized - no onions for me please! OLE!
And Ramly burger is evidently prohibited in Singapore, because it posed a threat to Singapore’s Kiasu burger special, the special being NEWATER’s remnants as its prime ingredient. Could any Singaporeans corroborate this? Hehehehe!
The best Ramly burger ever sampled was at @ Kelab Syabas PJ. It was the fantabulous! And loved by ALL of my colleagues and friends - we concurred that it was the best!
These days, the mat rempit-powered stalls have leeched themselves on to 7-11. Still, street burgers taste wayyy better than McDs and all that western mumbo jumbo.
Best Burger: Ramly Burger
Best Fries: Planet Hollywood (Even if it’s cold, it kicks ass!)
Best Drink: A&W Rootbeer (Duhh!)
Best Chicken: The jury is out…
Come mid-January, our office will be relocated to a place where fastfood flourishes among its poseur residents. Yes, I’m talking about Taman Tun. The old Plaza IBM awaits…

I lovve Ramli burger - Dan, you have my 100% agreement on this.
Its hard to rank which spot is the best, but so far, I would rank the fler behind Assunta Hospital (outside the Nursing hostel, so can check out the young cikus also!). He’s the best - fast, clean, and never gets your order wrong.
My fav combinaiton is burger daging double dengan telor (omelette on top of the meat, not wrapped a la ’special’), sikit bawang, sikit timun, tak mau tomato, sos cili, mayonnaise and worcestershire sos (in perfect quantity - no ‘meleleh’ business!).
Whack that down with a Milo Ais!

Selayang Mall’s Burger Bob (Ramly supporter) is the best !

Robert Stuff like that are better left unknown. LOL.
Larawannabe At least you die happy. Nasi Lemak is my other fav.
Keropok Will surely drop by the Assunta Hospital stall. Thanks! And nothing beats Milo on the Rocks! OLE! Are you free anytime this year, wanna meet up for a drink?

December 4th, 2006 at 9:10pm
Lin@ LOL. It’s cheap indeed, but value for money compared to western fastfood.
Che-Cheh The tepi jalan ones, aren’t those Ramly burgers?
Lex You sure it’s not the liquor you had prior to the burgers? Hehehehe!

Ramly Burger is not banned in Singapore!! Go to any pasar malam and you can find at least 3 stalls selling RRamly Burgers!! It’s fantastic! And correction: When our marvellous Kiasu burger was sold in McDs, NeWater hasn’t been created yet! LOL.

although I like Ramly burger, I can’t say I dont like Big Mac or Whooper. They are just in a different league.
Ramly burger must eat straight away when served. Any longer than that, the bread will absorb the juices/sauce hence it becomes slippery and shrink by 40% (i’d guess).

I thought Ramly burger is known as Ramly burger only when it’s burger and roti come from the brand Ramly.
December 5th, 2006 at 10:09pm
endroo G Not a Big Mac fan, only burger does it for me is McD’s Double Cheeseburger.
Che-Cheh Is it? The street burgers ALWAYS come from the Ramly brand. The bun is secondary….isn’t it?

Best Fries - Give me curly fries anytime.
Best rootbear - *high 5, piak*
Best chicken - KFC

I came here looking for the ingredients to Ramly. As you well know I’m sure, real burger patties have a different color, texture and (who are we kidding?) taste. In fact, if anyone’s tasted real meat before, (and by meat I mean that of cows) I don’t see how they can associate Ramly with the word burger, as I am quite positive whatever they stuff in those patties can’t be meat. So you’re right. Perhaps you shouldn’t know what is in those things. Ignorance is bliss.
