If there were any non MUSE fans in the crowd that night, they would’ve been converted. Like me. Prior to this, I knew at least 5 songs. The concert started at 9pm and finished just before 11pm. Verdict? The current winners of the BEST LIVE BAND (Brit Awards) ROCKED and BROUGHT the house down! I feel sorry to those of you who didn’t take the opportunity to go. I think you will live to regret this. :-)

The lead singer, also the lead guitarist, was fantabulous all night. His guitar works AND piano playing was phenomenal. Finally, a CURRENT rock band who can really rock! And the sellout crowd, was amazing too! Hoardes of beauties that left me and Bren flabbergasted. Haha! If a Miss Malaysia pageant was held there and then, there’d be at least 100 beauties in the stadium vying for it! :-P

My 2 gripes, first, that the lead singer need to stop wailing in most of his songs, and start singing. And when he eventually does that, MUSE will go on to potentially become rock legends. Second, a Tiger beer sponsored concert without beer?! That’s it, from now onwards, I’m getting spiritual before I go to a concert!

They were better than the last concert I went to, INXS. I am now, officially, MUSEd!

Muse Concert Stadium Negara KL

This photo was grabbed from Cyberred’s blog. I was there in the crowd, see if you can spot 2 bald men towards the bottom left (one black in white and one white in black)! OLE! :-D

  1. yeah.. rub it in won’t ya…….. :(

  2. Yeah, never imagined the crowd here can be as wild and hyper, which is great cause Muse might consider another trip here in the near future.

Matt wailing?? Hmmm.. I think that’s his style of singing?? Dom was great on the drums, Chris was a bit quiet though. Nevertheless, it was a really rocking night and hopefully, there are more Muse fans around now :)

  3. AH….!!! I HATE THIS!!! >.

  4. watched a Muse concert on MTV or was it channel V anyway yeah they are good…

  5. count me in for this year’s concerts especially the Gwen and Justin wans…and Aerosmith of coz.

  6. suanie Hehehe! You should’ve gone in the first place…now enjoy your days living in regret…Hahahaha!

Cavell The crowd was amusing. ;-) Well, after half an hour or so, his wailing (style of singing) was mildly irritating. But still, that doesn’t take away the fact that he rocked the hell out of that guitar!

Princess Shin Don’t worry, I’m sure that MUSE would drop by again in the next 20 years.. :-P

Mo One of those bands who sound much better LIVE.

tihtahpah Fingers crossed for those concerts to be realized.

  7. omg..i missed it..and err, no pics ah.?

  8. dude.. Didn’t I tell you muse was good… I’m so happy that you’ve been aMUSEd :D

  9. Yay! My first concert and man were they great! Unfortunately in our over eagerness we were there at 6.30 and got slightly deflated by 9pm, heh.

I hadn’t liked their latest album but loved the one before this, glad to say I now think it deserves a good re-listen. But they are still so much better live, sampai mulut ternga-nga :P

(Wish I didnt feel like the oldest person there last night though, sheesh.)

  10. Yatz Err…no la, my phone is still being repaired, and I couldn’t wait for my friend to forward the pics to me.. :-)

Lex They were great LIVE! :-D

Jackie You and me Jackie. Haha! Myself and Brendan’s age combined probably equaled to 4 people that night! LOL! Yes, they are a GREAT live band! I’m gonna get their albums, like you, to re-listen. ;-)

  11. huh.. regret!! m alwiz living in regrets..
    hd 2 attend a close fren’s house warming party dat nite… huhuhu…

m looking forward to ur muse concert pix!!

  12. Fa Come join me for future gallivantings and I’ll warrant there’ll be no regrets! :-P

  13. omg are you serious, Matt built the whole Muse schtick on wailing! not that i love em any less, mind.

  14. Wild crowd. Crazy guitar playing. I’m depressed now coz it’s all over.

Will always remember the time we all shared singing along to Starlight.

And the moshing together when they played Plug in Baby, a definite rock classic.

  15. ItchyMicchi Well, if they wanna move on to the next level, he should wail lesser in the future, else we’ll get the notion that he lacks the creative sense to write proper lyrics, know what I’m saying? :-P Potentially legends in my opinion…

Jannah It was a blast! It’s been a while since a concert had that great an impact on me. Bon Jovi in 95 and MJ in 96. 2007 belongs to MUSE (unless Aerosmith comes in December…hehehe!)

  16. but he does write proper lyrics! he’s just incapable of singing coherently (which adds even more to the charm) :D anyway, the band’s about 10 years old now, so i wouldn’t worry too much about their lifespan.

(i think they’ll make really cute little old men, hur hur)

  17. Oh yeah.. it rocked… Loved it.. Damn i really wish Bon Jovi comes back!!! and lets all pray for Aerosmith! :)

  18. ItchyMicchi An incoherent genius nonetheless! I would love to see how they progress with their next album. Managed to get my hands on all the 19 songs sung at the concert! OLE! :-)

Aaron I too hope that Bon Jovi comes back for a concert, anywhere in SE Asia, I’d go! I clearly remembered how he constantly interacted with the crowd, there was so much energy in the air! Fingers crossed for AEROSMITH! :-D

  19. OMG, that picture was so beautiful…

  20. yeah..i went 2 da great concerts..!i still remembered when they perfomed Apocalypse Please..

  21. i was there!
    and yes
THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE DOWN!!! WOOOT!
i was too excited and rocked too hard that night
    that when i got home
i can’t remember much about the things onstage!
but of course i remember all the songs!
especially starlight, hysteria, plug in baby and NEWBORN!!!
soldier’s poem was beautiful, with the piano tunes and lighters
    =)
i wish i’ll be able to see them live again, anywhere, i dont care!

  22. Chapree Da Grande It justifies my reasons to hijack! :-)

yatiE Their mainstream hits got the crowd rocking! PLUG IN BABY was excellent!

mel It was indeed, a great concert! ;-)
