Stomp the YardA movie with mixed reviews. Critics scorned it. IMDB users gave it a poor rating. I gambled on it anyway, last night at Midvalley. Verdict? It’s a little too protracted for my liking, and it was like a montage of MTV videos than anything else, but but but, I savored it. The dance sequences were amazing.

I am currently listening to its soundtrack. I rank this movie, a 7/10, plainly for its dance successions. A storyline that’s not worth hollering about though. Enjoyable nevertheless. For those who have hip hop in their soul. ;-)

  1. OK… but more importantly was there hot chicks in the movie..?

Jessica Alba dancing to hip hop in “Honey” was hot.

  7. actually cant really compare honey with this coz they doesn’t belong to the same category. It would be reasonable if compare Honey vs Step-up and You’ve got Served vs Stomped the Yard.

  9. yipguseng Well, I remember watching “Honey”…blech…and got the feeling it was more for pimping Jessica Alba…

Rob Can vaguely remember “You Got Served”, I think I prefer “Stomp the Yard” in terms of dance sequences. :-)

  10. Hey!
I recently watched the movie and it’s definitely better than Honey, Step-up and You’ve Got Served. The movie lesson is better compared to those mentioned. Peace!
