Sunny day, sweepin’ the clouds away, on my way to where the air is sweet! We all did. We enjoyed watching Sesame Street at some point in our lives. Sorry if you didn’t – go smack yourselves silly and change your name to Susan.
It is one of the longest running shows in history. Not the dull LOST, or the boring 24. More than 100 Emmy awards! It teaches kids about everything, and even throws in subtle sense of humor that appeals to older views, becoming a parent-kid show.
Elmo & Big Bird, were everyone’s most HATED characters! Mine too! Snuffleupagus sucked! Did you know that Ernie had a “Rubber Duckie” song that was in the Billboard charts?

Of all the characters, my favorite was Grover, that fuzzy blue monster that takes the role of Super Grover every now and then. I’ll never forget his explanation on the difference between “NEAR” and FAR”. LOL.
I also loved him for always pissing Kermit the Frog. Hahahaha! Shall never forget his antics as a waiter serving a fat blue guy at a restaurant, and always gets it wrong. Hmmm, I should’ve called my dog Grover.
Other memorable characters were Bert & Ernie, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, Forgetful Jones, Guy Smiley, Mumford the Magician, Oscar the Grouch, Two-Headed Monster and the Yip-Yips. Yip Yip Hooray!
What was your favorite Sesame Street character?

Wombat Yes, Kermit the Frog was part of Sesame Street. Jim Henson’s puppets.
Broken Starfish Yuck, Snuffleupagus! Is Big Bird male or female?
Jewelle I always thought that Oscar was too one-dimensional.
Izad Elmo’s related to that other idiot, Barney. Elmo was a favorite character for kids aged 3 and below. Hehehehe!
