The quickest rodent in all Mexico, Speedy Gonzales. I loved watching the show just to hear those dodgy Mexican accents. And who can forget that yellow sombrero? Have you heard of Pat Boone’s classic? “Hey Rosita, I hafta go shopping downtown for my mudder, she needs some tortillas and chili peppers.” or “Hey Rosita, come queek, down at the cantina they giving green stamps with tequila!”.
Mexican stereotyping at its best. The cartoon portrayed Mexicans as lazy, philanderers and alcoholics. Cue Speedy, whizzing pass them shouting “Andale! Andale! Arriba! Arriba!” (loosely translated as Up! Up! Move! Move!).

Who can ever forget that little bugger? Back in ’sekolah rendah’ in Sabah, everytime when we need someone to do something quick we’ll be using shouting “..andaley,andaley yippa! Yippa!”

Jemima & huei
Mo Looney Tunes were a worthwhile watch.
Kay Kastum LOL. Don’t think we did that when we were young, most of the time, we quote the “male-ego” fueled Thundercats or Voltron.
clement They might make a movie. I won’t be surprised.
Lucifer Speedy was in English. Only Japanese-cartoons were dubbed.
conan_cat TMNT wasn’t the greatest movie ever, but it wasn’t too bad either. Nothing to write home about.
JACQ LOL, it is? Does it matter?

the word andale used to be fun when rhymes with ariba, but not so if someone said “andale” in a work environment haha.
