Scorpions Humanity Hour Reviewed

Scorpions, a “mat rempit” favorite those days. I have to admit, I became a fan when “Wind of Change” ruled the charts, though I didn’t own a bike nor a black t-shirt with some funky “death” theme. And I also had the privilege of attending their concert in 1996, it was topnotch. Rudolf Schenker rocked. Well, the rock dinosaurs are back with yet another album, Humanity Hour. Unfortunately, a very very average album.

Scorpions – The Future Never Dies
I’m lost in your eyes reaching out to cross the great divide
You are drifting away mind and soul and body day by day
Nothing’s stopping you and I, it’s do or die tonight
So tell me why I’m alone when we’re lying here together
On a night that’s so cold and you’re just a touch away
Baby try to hold on till we make it to forever
We’re alive and the future never dies
I’ve been dying inside holding back the tears I never cried
Now I’m down on my knees cause everything you are is what I need
You’re the meaning of it all don’t let me fall you’ve gotta
We’ve got to come together
Cause everybody needs a heart to hold
Can’t you see it’s now or never
Cause we’ve got nowhere else to go

Wow, haven’t heard of them for a while now.
Mat Rempit fav? LOL!!!! But for sure those days, whenever there’s wedding reception and the stage is open for singing, there would DEFINITELY be someone singing Scorpions song. Haha!

Kay Kastum Hopefully when I visit in July, someone I know gets married.
Rob Cheers. I’m not a fan of the 90s U2, they were crap with Achtung Baby, Zooropa and Pop. The albums were described as “4 men chopping down the Joshua Tree”.

the picture is at least 8 years old, from the ‘eye to eye’ era. Sorry pal but ‘Humanity’ is far from average, much better than ‘crazy world’, FTH, PI, E2E and Unbreakable. No wind of change style here, most fortunately. We will raise again man…

JACQ Well, we’ll just have to crash a wedding then.
Mo Hmm…I think it’s because of the shades…it’s kinda silly to compare Scorpions with U2 because of the shades.
Milvio I don’t like the album, 1 or 2 songs are okay, but it got boring rather quickly. I feel Pure Instinct was their last good album.

“Look like U2 wannabe”
come on!making an album shedding light on humanity n all doesnt make a band u2 wannabe…..scorpions hav always been a versetile band…xploring their artistic side….some die hard scorpions fans might not like this album….but IM a diehard fan..n i loved it…the lyrics reflects maturity….it lacks fast tracks i agree…but the songs r pretty melodious overall…klaus is always ready to win hearts with his amazing voice…from the heavy tracks like “sails of charon”..\m/….to hard rock anthems like “rock u like a hurricane”….from lusty “rhythm of love” to “soul stirring ballad like ” still lovin u”….from thought provokin “wind of change” to instrumental like “coast to coast”….scorpions r outstandingly versetile…eye to eye ws dissapointin…but this album aint average at all….its quite good….scorpions in new form….they can adopt to varyin taste of music lovers….(but wont say sell outs)….loved the unbreakable album….the band keeps amusing me…..hail scorpions!!!

@gallivanter
average compared to their capabilities may be….for example in case of metallica’s “saint anger” …the album is plain dissapointing….infact earned the band a bad name….(nutallica…lol)….btw wts the name of eagles latest album?(cant recall…)….it has been criticized harshly….so keepin in mind how things r goin with old bands….this humanity album is quite good…..well no matter how much i want them to come out with an album like “taken by force”….i knw at the back of the mind its next to impossible….but recreating some 80s magic wld be grt….may b they r adopting with change of taste of music lovers…
is it true it might b their last album?….it wld b heart breaking to c them breaking up…lets c…

steam rock fever I agree – both Metallica and Eagles need to retire and just live off concert earnings.
