Yes, Henry is first-class striker material. We will miss him. Of course, Arsenal will miss him more. Liverpool fans (like moi) will miss him less :P

I’m not die-hard fan of football but when I do watch a game or two with my dad, Henry never fails to amaze me on the pitch. My dad is a huge Man U fan but even he is humbled by Henry.

16 million pounds? Can you imagine how many pairs of shoes a girl can buy with that??? (Hey it’s all about perspective, my good man…)

liverpool fan passing by here. just wanna say, i will miss him. thierry is one of the most undisputed football genius ever to grace premiership. yea, we are going to miss him. he had so many special moments and not to mention his goals. his unbelievable flick-volley against manchester united was one of them.

who can forget his three-quarter length of the field solo against spurs. and yeah, not to forget he bulldozed the entire liverpool defence with a simple shimmy to tap the goal in many years ago.

a gentleman off the field. i was fortunate i had a brief conversation when he was here in 97 for the world youth world cup.

see ya around thierry. we know rest of la liga teams are worried. definitely, we are going to see his mesmerizing va-va-vroom run against rest of la liga. and mind you, that’s only one of his trademarks.

Melissa Shoes? LOL. I would be gallivanting the world with that figure. Yeah, Henry’s a legend. One cannot not appreciate what he brought to the EPL.

shah Henry has scored LOADS of memorable goals, and I clearly remember the ones you pointed out, and THAT 5-1 thrashing of Inter Milan in Italy. :-D

joseph LOL. I hope Anelka is not re-signed.

Arsenal without Henry? And Wenger leaving at the end of 2007-2008 season? Hah! Arsenal will be going down down down. Maybe they should engage Sven G. Ericsson to speed them on their way.

toped I’m not a fan of Walcott. :-)

Wombat Only an idiot would sign Eriksson.

zewt Agreed, for without Wenger, the EPL’s ALL-TIME best player wouldn’t have been unearthed.

coffeerox Henry’s CLASS. Zidane too, irrespective of what he did – screw the Italians! :-D

Gallivanter : So Thaksin is an idiot. Q.E.D. :-)

By the way Master Le Sulk Anelka is rumoured to be re-joining Arsenal. Don’t they ever learn?

Wombat I don’t think Arsenal would re-sign Anelka, if he does, then we’ll flog him off to Real Madrid on the following season for 25m. :-)

Moses Francis Yeah, is there any other player in the EPL that commands the respect of supporters from different clubs?

Wombat LOL. This bugger have traveled around a lot, and he’s younger than Henry!

coffeerox Yeah, Zidane inspired me. If you come across any Italians in Malaysia with bumps on their heads, don’t ask. ;-)

I love Thierry Henry, and he’s an awesome, awesome footballer capable of some of the most brilliant moments football (not merely EPL, but football in general) has ever seen.

I don’t think there anyone can justificably give a ‘best player to hit the PRemiership’ tag to any one player since its so objective, and any validity will have to be statistically validated (bah, statistics and football!) but Henry ranks in the top 3, along with Cantona (but of course) and Robbie Fowler. Of the 3, Henry was the most professional – but all three at one time or other gave the Premiership the gloss it currently enjoys.

Certainly the best foreigner to hit England – followed by Zola and Bergkemp (to which he also owes a lot, besides just Wenger!)

Interesting to watch Arsenal next season – they won’t be as weak as many say.

Lex Well, it’s gonna be almost impossible trying to emulate Henry.

Che-Cheh Yeah he is, the way he played football was breathtaking.

Keropok Yes, he was an AWESOME footballer – pity he didn’t win the European/World Player awards. He has scored lot of memorable goals. Though I’m sad to see him leave, in hindsight, I think it’s the best move for Arsenal. I hope they release a DVD on Henry.

I saw your article on footytube- Good Article. I feel Henry is light, speed and fire! It is a shame he is leavivg Arsenal, it reminds me of the brevity of life!

One observation! He didn’t fit well as a captain, I think the pressure of being in charge was a bit out of his role, we are not all leaders. The day Viera left, Henry left in spirit, but still existed in flesh. All this is history now.

He changed the role of an attacker to a predator!!!!!!!

I think he has blessed the game in England. Because he is so special he owes Spain some of those blessings!!!!!!!!Its part of sharing!

Those young guns have POTENTIAL, I can’t wait to see their strength without him.

adebanji Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :-) Arsenal will miss Henry, in fact, the EPL will miss him, what a player. This Arsenal team will survive, no doubt about that. ;-)
