Shaggy Intoxication

It lifted off with full of promise – 17 tracks altogether, with Shaggy’s identifiable sub-baritone voice cocooning the songs. I handpicked 6 tracks that I liked at once , but, after listening to it a few times, I ended up with only 2 highly infectious tracks – “Bonafide Girl” featuring Rik Rok & Tony Gold, and the title track, “Intoxication”.

The first single is the collaborated effort with Akon, entitled, “What’s Love”. But the chorus is a one-liner that repeats itself too much that you feel like strangling Akon.

Shaggy – Intoxication

I ain’t never gonna drink again
Before I take a sip I’m gonna think of when
I had sex with my woman’s best friend again
I can’t blame intoxication

Ain’t never gonna drink again
Before I take a sip I’m gonna think of when
I had sex with a girl I considered a friend
I can’t blame intoxication

Before I take a sip I’m gonna think of when
I slept under a car and thought it was my bed
    can’t blame intoxication
