Carrie Underwood’s second album, Carnival Ride was released on 23rd October 2007. 13 songs that has a slightly above average feel to it. Why? Because ultimately, it’s predictable. She has great vocals, regrettably does not take enough risk. It’s very unimaginative that I feel it’s a collection of songs that didn’t make her first album.
The last track on the album is the best, “Wheel of the World”. It is a song with mesmerizing harmonies. The orchestral support executes the mellow mood that it elevates. The album gets a 4/10.
Carrie Underwood - Wheel Of The World
Love goes out, out like a light
Out like a flame and you cant find find it anymore
Just when you think its lost in the rain, it comes back knockin’ at your door
Its the wheel of the world turning around
Its the wheel of the world turning around and around
God put us here on this carnival ride
We close our eyes, never knowing where it’ll take us next
Babies are born, and at the same time, someone’s taking their last breath
In the blink of an eye, it can change your life
And it never even slows down
Its the wheel of the world
I don’t know what it is, I’m flying high
But Im wondering why Im sinking on this ship going down
Life keeps on moving anyway
It can open your heart, it can break you apart
And it never even slows down

Wheel of the World is the album-concluding last song on the
album, which explains the restrain.
i suggest listening to:
Flat on the Floor (All out country rock)
Just a Dream (very sad ballad)
Crazy Dreams & The More Boys I meet (fun uptempo song)
I know you wont (sublime vocals)
