But, also consider that even after taking the time (I was 27), and entering marriage for it to be the only in your life (15 year relationship, 9 year marriage), things happen that are beyond your control.

Hear hear. Sometimes getting married isn’t just about the right person…It’s about the ‘right time’. You could meet the person of your dreams right now but if the both of you aren’t on the same path when it comes to settling down, time to wake up and face the painful truth.

On a personal note, I’m definitely not ready. And a million wild horses won’t be able to change my mind. So there. *sweaty palms, heart palpitating, nausea*

Marriage is a lil’ bit too far at the moment. Haha. But i do agree that one can never rush into marriage. If you don’t get well-prepared, for sure things get fucked up. They say marriage is a woman’s graveyard. I think it might be true.

Getting married also avoids pre-marital sex. That explains why people who are of religious background would not extend their courtship for a very long time.

Thank you all for the comments, sorry I can’t really reply to each because I’m in KK right now on my short holiday, with limited internet access. Normal service should resume next week, but then again, I’m starting my new job. Hmm…

If last time I wanna get married with my nearly 5-yrs r/ship with a guy… but sekarang… Aiyoh… I hardly believe a relationship sampai ke jinjang pelamin (betulkah my “jinjang”?)… Even if I’m going to be in my 30s pun, I need to secure my position first. Muahahaha~

Marriage is a long way to go as for me… Dream comes first… Muahahahah~
