Ending a Friendship

Friendship evolves. We have different friends for different reasons. There is no such thing as perfection in friendship. People change, even your closest friends. A change may be so drastic that it is grounds for going your separate ways, as the friendship has probably run its course. I’m not talking about casual friends, because, they do not really warrant a detachment.
If you feel that you’re at the end of the road, just like how I felt a few months ago, just tell your friend. If the person is your so-called best friend, then good communication may help to determine whether the friendship is worth fighting for. What made me upset was that my friendship was called off without valuing my feelings and it became toxic that it brought out the worst in me. Friendship is not a one-way affair. RESPECT is KEY.
Just because you sacrifice so much for your friend, does not mean you can expect the same in return. A friendship changes when needs change. Do not expect the same levels of friendship when elements like relationship come into place. A friend should always understand and accommodate.
“Friends are your friends no matter what”, just does not hold for every situation, and that is reality.

i’ve come to realize that good friends last no matter wat, and good friends are always by your side when u need them the most……..

Yep, sometimes hard to expect others do the same thing as we did to them. Most of the time, the one further than us and seldom talk one is the one friend that really worthy to be called friend.
Just don’t expect any special treatment and you be alright. understanding the others as you said is important. Think positive about them is not only good for the relationship but also good for oneself. great article once again.

I could not agree more! Most friendships of mine (except for like a handful) have failed or are going to fail eventually. I have changed a lot and I take responsibility.
