David Cook (American Idol 7)Michael Johns (American Idol 7)

If any of you watched American Idol, the 3 judges got it wrong when they said that David Cook made a bold move with his version of “Billie Jean”. I knew I had to say something. This dude, to me, has a great rock voice and is my favorite together with Michael Johns (who sings the best when he covers Queen songs).

Folks – the “Billie Jean” version actually belongs to CHRIS CORNELL. If you have been reading my blog for the last year or so, you would’ve realized this – I blogged about this song on the 27th May 2007. So, David Cook did a COVER, and not, what the judges think, made the song his own.

American Idol 7

Jason Castro, Chikezie, Ramiele Malubay, Carly Smithson and Kristy Lee Cook should be eliminated all in one go!

  1. Cool! Wasn’t aware it was a Chris Cornell cover.. but I’m liking David (COOK, the other one) and Michael more and more each day. I actually think this year belongs to the rockers.

btw, have you had a go at OneRepublic’s CD?

  2. eh why don’t u write to the 3 judges??? or ryan seacrest???
and btw, do u have the mp3 of chris cornell’s bllie jean?

  3. Izad Yeah, hopefully a “rock” person wins this, enough of bad wannabes. :-) I’ve reviewed One Republic’s album quite sometime back already.

tihtahpah Pointless, I’m sure someone would’ve mention it to them. Yes, I do have the song with me.

  4. David Archuleta has the short-priced favourite to win since singing John Lennon’s “Imagine”. I reckon he’ll still win.

But bookmakers have cut the price on David Cook in recent weeks after some stellar performances. He’s a deserved 2nd outright favourite after being a big underdog in the early stages.

  5. Bookmaker Archuleta is OK, but nothing great, reminds me of a boy band member trying to sound like Josh Gay Groban. Nothing memorable.

  6. I was hoping Syesha or Ramiele to be booted the other day.. Ish!!!

  7. ethel Yeah, but Chikezie is a good start. :-)
