What a classic rock song this is. It was written by Shania Twain’s hubby, “Mutt” Lange, the same dude behind Def Leppard and Bryan Adams.
This controversial song is about a one-night love affair with a man, only to reveal the real reasons later, that her intention was to become pregnant. When she re-unites with him later (in the lyrics), she explains that she did it only because that her lover is not able to impregnate her.
HEART, the rock band, actually didn’t want to sing this song at all, because it was everything they stood against. This song was originally written for Don Henley, but they bowed down to pressure and made this song a huge hit.
Heart - All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You
All I wanna do is make love to you
Say you will. You want me too.
All I wanna do is make love to you
I’ve got loving arms to hold on to

This actually makes me feel better. I hate that song and always thought it made them sound so pathetic.

Love the music but hated the lyrics - not the kind of song you can sing out loud, what a pity.
And interesting history of the song.

Jewelle True, can’t really sing that song out in the open, except probably in the car.

First time I heard the lyrics, I was like: what was Mutt Lange thinking? Taken off the album Brigade (1990), which had other great, and even better songs too like Stranded and Under The Sky, and of course Secret!
Yes, I was and am still a Heart junkie (ever since that 1985 LP, I tried to go back beyond that (private audition LP) but just could not get into it)- I think Ann (or is it Nancy) is one of the world’s finest female rock vocalists.

ben - I think Ann’s the lead singer. I also like “Alone” and “Will You Be There in The Morning?”. Cool songs.
