It won’t be 4-1. The Russians have learned from that and learned it well. It all takes one good game and you’re back in the groove! With Ashavin and Pavulychenko in the heart of the Russian setup, I fancy them. I fancy the Russians to at least peg the Spaniards back for 90 minutes and then who knows.
A German colleague said that he preferred Spain in the final compared to Russia, simply because Spain’s style of play is similar to that of Portugal, who were ousted. Russia on the other hand, is compact, straightforward, and vibrant in the sense of attacking build-up.
If Fabregas and Torres start and finish the match, they may just have a chance. Guiza is overrated. Silva and Villa will link up in attack. Spain though, have an unconvincing defence that hasn’t really been tested. It’s gonna be a close and exciting game.
