Frank Farian, the dude behind Boney M & Milli Vanilli, initially recorded this tune with a band called Eruption back in the 70s. Somehow, since he was linked to the founding of Eruption, this song was re-released under Boney M. Not many people outside of Asia are really aware of their existence, especially in America. Nevertheless, Boney M is much more entertaining than the lamest band in the world, “Michael Learns to Rock”, an oriental favorite.
