What an album to listen to! It was a rocking good effort by Black Stone Cherry. I’m surprised that this band went under my radar since they were formed in 2001. It’s a throwback of rock n roll from the its heydays, with some fresher sound. This album was was produced by Bob Marlette, the guy whose credits include Ozzy Osbourne, Saliva, Seether and Shinedown. I like Saliva, Seether and Shinedown to an extent.

I’d give this album, Folklore and Superstition, an 8/10. If you love a heavier side of rock, not metal, slightly lighter than Breaking Benjamin, and heavier than Hinder to a magnitude wise. Songs that stand out is their current single, “Blind Man”, “Peace is Free”, “Reverend Wrinkle”, “Soulcreek”, “Long Sleeves” and this one, the slowest track on the album, “Things My Father Said”.
