A Friend’s Birthday Bash @ Sanctuary, The Curve

Watching Arsenal beat WBA wasn’t as gratifying as I anticipated it to be. The Gunners got off to a flying start with Samir Nasri’s goal in the 4th minute. I really like Samir Nasri and I believe that he will prove to be a better buy than Hleb. It was awful to see Arsenal play without hardly threatening the opposition’s goalkeeper. It was even more awful to see Bloodybayor and Ebugay continue to don the Arsenal jersey.
Shortly after the game at the Laundry, Mel, Ravind & I adjourned to Sanctuary, a club that I used to haunt for a few months before I met Mel. I met Mel for the first time outside Sanctuary, at the end of May 2007. It was a start of something fantastic.
Ravind and I bought Lorraine her first, Flaming Lamborghini, and then the other guys start to buy her the same drink too. Lorraine, the birthday girl, bought 5 bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label for her party! Crazy!
I met a number of Mel’s Sabahan friends, as well as made a few friends myself and further expanded my Facebook list of compadres. It was an OK event, and only fortify my impression that Sabahans are the friendliest of Malaysians.

Iris – I’m guessing that this comment is meant for Audrey!
papajoneh – Kenapa diam-diam saja bah? Yes, Sabahans are the best, that’s why I’m “investing” in one.
