Tiger FC Fantasy League – The Story So Far

I still could not get into the website, as apparently my details are already with them. Strange. That virtually put off my interest for a while, until a good samaritan came along to loan me the login details. Though it’s already 1/5 of the season has started, it did not stop me from building my team from the alloted amount.
I picked Martin O’Neil as my manager for 8.5 million. Brad Friedel, Alvaro Arbeloa, Juliano Belletti, Jamie Carragher and Bacary Sagna were my back fives. The challenge of picking a team is limited by the maximum budget. These were the best I could do based on circumstances.
Denilson, Ashley Young, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Stephen Ireland made up the midfield quartet. Personally, I dislike Denilson, and only bought him because of the points that he has brought in so far. As much as I love Arsenal, I think Wenger needs to flog off Bloodybayor, Denilson and Ebugay. Drop Gallas and give the captaincy to Fabregas.
I picked 2 Englishmen to lead the attack, though I hate England. Carlton Cole and Jermain Defoe, both have been rather consistent with their teams, are now my bet up front. It does look imbalance if this was a real team, because mostly were small-built players. Oh well, I have to remind myself that this is just a fantasy league.
My fantasy outing starts this weekend, where I will pit this impromptu lineup against fellow bloggers. Are you in? Come fight me and my Gallivanters. I just looked at the Nuffleague standings, and they are 22 bloggers. Since I just signed my team in, I obviously start at the bottom. It’s OK, I think I can catch up with the other bloggers, the leader is “only” 161 points *PRAYS THAT HIS INTERNET CONNECTION GOES KAPUT FOR A MONTH* Come join the Nuffleague @ Tiger’s Fantasy League website!

also used to play this. In fact last season i was an addict to this fantasy football. But dunnolah, this season, seems like no mood to play. Still playing my PC version of Fantasy Football, the Football Manager 2008. Still trying very hard to get Chesterfield promoted to the Premier League. Been trying that for 3 seasons. Hahahahahaha…
Why don’t you go for Zaki (Wigan). He’s been in terrific form this season. Still don’t know where did Wigan got that player…
Good Luck for your Team man…

Nick Phillips – You’re right, laziness can definitely seep it. Wenger HAS to do it, but will he? Sigh.
markiekadus – I’ve never been a huge addict of fantasy football, only during my younger years, but that also, it’s most on Championship Manager. And you’re right, Zaki would be a good buy, too bad I didn’t make the changes right before the deadline, had Sagna in the starting 11. Eeek!

Seriously, though I’m not a big fan or the Gunners, I can’t believe when I saw you wrote EBUGAY! Hilarious!
Pretty weird as I don’t see any big names out there… Lampard Ronaldo?
Rooney? or even the current top scorer Amr Zaki?
Big gamble huh?

d e s – Lampfart, Ronaldope, Looney cost too much, it’ll weaken the rest of the team. Amir Zaki, well, I think he’s priced out already. Yup, big gamble.
