orangutan – Of course, where else can I access songs. Last.FM, I heard of that, but the quality of the songs are not standard. As for the ITunes, the free account is limited. I think I’m fine with English songs, it’s the Malay songs that I need help with.

Have you try Last.FM?
How about Itunes ? Try creating an USA account and get some of the Free
musics/video/MV

Nick Phillips – I love downloading music, it’s been my favorite online hobby since 1997. Used to drive all the way to Penang to buy music CDs, RM10 for 3. I spent RM200 one time.

Jewelle – Yeah, it’s best to delete. It’s not that the file cannot play, but clicking it means you’re activating a virus. Ensure your computer is virus protected, I’m using 3 antivirus software on mine at one go – Avira, AVG & Avast. When you download, the main thing is to look at the availability of the bitrates. If the bitrate is not listed, don’t download the file.

cdason – Limewire? Well, I tried, sometimes come up empty handed too. I heard of Jiwang.net, but the files are very low quality.

mat kolej – Actually, Frostwire share the same P2P network as Limewire, though possibly less coverage to safeguard the originality of the song. If I can’t get the song there, I just use the torrent.

I started with napster tooooo, then audiogalaxy, then Bearshare. Now I am comfortable with ARES and BITCOMET.. Since my company has prohibited us from ares and bitcomet, I download music through the web especially for indonesian songs. http://www.4shared.com

i started out with napster too and then audiogalaxy.but using dial up back then was just agonising.back then when you begin to download and then exit before it finishes it’s considered gone and you have to start downloading it all over again the next time you start up.and then came kazaa and then limewire.pretty much the same as you heard about frostwire two months back and i got that…but i somehow feel the database isnt that big.cant find a few songs on it but what the heck, it still works.when it comes to downloading series and movies its Vuze for me.absolutely reliable!

I think the best place to find Malay songs are still through limewire. Other methods either suck, or just aint worth the search. Another option is to go to Jiwang.net if i'm not mistaken... or you could download conventional the songs the conventional way at rindok.com. I used Limewire too and I did wonder what were those files that I downloaded but cannot play. Now I know. Do you think it’s alright to just delete them?

The CD’s I buy not pirated one you know. It’s just the urmmm, cheap local version ones … LOL!

But I seldom download stuff. Just too lazy. And yeah, I’ve given up on Limewire. It’s Bitcomet for me
