If you have read the latest news from our beloved politician, who consistently spew stupidity week in and week out, you will probably guess what my next rant is. Our educated education minister, Hishamuddin, is planning to organize a huge protest in Malaysia against what is happening in Gaza involving our schoolchildren.

His reason? “When they grow up, they will have to face global issue like peace, environment and the economic crisis.” So, might as well expose them to sex. Let’s start with his children first, to lead the way. Oh wait, if I’m not mistaken, our educated education minister sends his children to private schools. LOL.

No wonder he is excited to corrupt the minds of children, so when they grow up, they would be as closed minded and corrupted as him. Some of them might even learn to swing the keris shouting about their rights.

Hmm, I wonder if Albar will throw this fella into ISA for causing a commotion to the nation? The sheer number of comments on NST (I left my comment too) reflects of what we think about our circus government, who majority are shortsighted folks who accept bribes left right centre for their own welfare.

He should instead focus on improving our education system instead of deflecting to cover up the weaknesses. I wish we the people have the power to disband the ministry and all who talk out of their arses each day. How the hell they became our representatives? Why on earth do we vote them each time? Or was it because they promised each voters RM100? Or give land to them for free like in Sabah?

Yes, what is taking place is definitely something we are all against, but please, before we start taking sides, or taking backsides due to our skewed view of the whole situation, we should do something more positive instead like calling for a change in the UMNO elections so that the next president do not automatically become the PM, because that is not what most Malaysians want.

Stand up and clap for your politicians. Else, you’ll be sent to ISA.

  1. Like i said dude, he’s just digging another hole for himself – just as he did with the keris incident. Opening up invitations to get his a*se f**ed. Idiot…

There’s no blinking way that its gonna happen anyway. No person in their right sense of mind would have their children or students participate in his ridiculous rant (except religious schools, colleges or uni kids – maybe). Can’t wait for the headlines tomorrow.

  2. It’s official. He is as stupid as he looks.

  3. Oh Gosh!Poor schoolchildren..this is so ridiculous..do they need to corrupt the mind of these youngsters? It’s unfair!

welz’s last blog post..Tag from BudakHutan..

  4. CF Chan – That’s the thing, because his asshole should be big enough to put his head in it. I don’t know whether the media’s gonna write about it though, since they’re government controlled.

chel – Yes, he is, if not for his ties with a previous PM, he wouldn’t have been where he is. What a twit.

welz – Exactly. Stupid buffoons planning to create a whole new generation of UMNO fellas. Balls!

  5. well, first of all u like my news paper now since i don’t read paper now. I ban bias paper like I ban unfriendly Starbucks. Thank u for the report on most praising unbelievable government. When i read this i was like “what again” I mean how many time does they helplessly need to show how stupid they are.

Protest again Gaza and using school children?? at first place do this kids know what Gaza is, even if they know do they thoroughly understand the conflict?? OOO my. You know disappoint me when Gov. doesn’t even want to reconstruct their history book that first, and the syllabus that second, and the implication on exam oriented school that third. and never teach sex education that crucial.

Instead of looking at what important they once again, trying to gain cheap trust and publicity! are we too stupid for this???

nah..I will think even harder to migrate, if i have children i do not want them to grow up in this kind of situation. It is the gov. and their system that oppress the people…

*sigh …what will happen to us?

  6. Hey, this article makes me realised something : Take good care of my own family first.
There are so many important things we need focus on and hope the school children do not get too involved in unnecessary thing like that.
Now I felt so sorry for my sons. Whenever i cant meet their requests I will start something to distract them first so that I can go on with my other plans. Hehe I am also a smart mother, right?

molly’s last blog post..Time To Work Hard And Work Smart

  7. Yet again, thank you Dan

I am glad that you pointed out the fact about where these hypocritical people send their children for their education. Hishamuddin Hussein is certainly not stupid, indeed, far from it. He acts stupid in order to satisfy his intended audience.

Let us never forget the fact that you and I and most of the readers here do have a Klang Valley mentality. The Klang Valley does not represent Malaysia at all. This is an incredibly diverse nation.

Hishamuddin Husseins intended audience mainly come from Kampungs. They are invariably UMNO members, but they do not have a pot to piss in between the lot of them. They are brought in to 5 star Hotels, given allowances, accomodation, and are accorded 5 star treatment for a few days, and as a result do their duty. They vote with no brains, only money. Piles of money.

Do their candidates have any love for Malaysia, or the Rakyat?

    No

    Nothing.

They promise much, and have nothing and less.

Its reminiscent of that chi bai former Prime Minister of my country, Charles Haughey. I never told my mother, but during Christmas time in 2007, I went up with Edward and urinated on his grave in Glasnevin cemetary, as I assured my Grandmother who worshipped him that I would live for the day that I would do that, and be justified for doing so. Never ever in my life have I felt so repulsed by a man to the point where I had such lack of respect to desecrate a grave. But in his case, I certainly had.

In 1987, I was in primary school, I was suspended for 3 days, because when he arrived, I turned my back, and 10 other classmates did the same. The school lost RM250,000 in grant money as a result. The school would never have got the money anyway, but the headmaster was livid at the loss of face as a result of the action of a bunch (as he put it) “precocious immature 11 year olds”

Malaysia is better off without these people. One day, I’d like to see a Republic of Malaysia, and the tinpot sultans kicked out. They are a waste of time, money and space.

I have more respect for the likes of Nik Aziz who I disagree with, but respect. I have respect for Karpal Singh, Anwar Ibrahim, Liim Kit Siang, who served their time in Kamunting, and got tortured. They are true Malaysians, not some glorified Kampung aristocrat who had it all handed on a plate by virtue of their ancestry.

Why do they insist on education in Malay, or Chinese or Indian?

    Easy lah

It ensures that if they are not exposed to English, or even Manglish, they are not exposed to corrupt external influences, which will lead them to question the system that they have created to maintain THEIR wealth and their hegemony from this generation to the next.

They will be simple minded and will only read shite from Utusan Melayu and the vernacular newspapers, and as a result, will earn a salary that will prevent them from owning a half decent internet connection with a subscription for RM120 per annum to Malaysiakini.

Hishamuddin Hussein is not stupid. His intended target audience most certainly are.

  8. sheela – Well, if the current govt AKA BN remains in power, we’ll continue going backwards.

    molly – :-)

Diarmuid Curran – Nice one Dermo! :-)

  9. Following up on this, and having studied and read certain books on other countries for comparison, we have to ask, what is the role of education.

Its an investment in the future of a nation. The children of today, fund the pensions of tomorrow.

I have nothing against the Malay language, or Tamil or Chinese dialects being used. If English was perfect, then would there be fluent English speaking prostitutes in the Beach Club from the Phillipines, which is, mainly English speaking, but they also speak Tagalog and many other dialects. The reality is that Thailand, Phillipines, Indonesia are more corrupt, more uneducated, and more screwed up than this place. By regional standards, Hishamuddin Hussein and his cousin, Najib is mother Teresa mixed with Mandela but thats not saying much when there are the likes of Samak Sundaravej in Thailand, not to mention the scum in charge in Indonesia, Phillipines, Myanmar and Cambodia, all ASEAN members. Malaysias wealth is reasonably well spread out, but the Gini-coefficient here is very poor indeed.

The people in the likes of Kuala Terranganu, Bentong, Kuala Lipis, in the regions outside of the prosperous West Coast corridor from JB to Alor Setar are poor by Malaysian standards, but not poor by regional standards. However, Malaysia should not be looking at the surrounding nations for such comparisons. The likes of South Korea, Taiwan, even Singapore should be viewed as models for socio economic development. The problem is, that policies are very disjointed and incoherent.

The model Malaysia could have followed was the Singaporean model, but the elites pay for their children to go private, and follow their model, but allow the poorer in the Rakyat to go to the Sekolah Kebangsaan. Meanwhile the National schools suffer from lack of funding, and underpaid teachers, who are no longer motivated. I have spoken to several retired teachers and headmasters in bars, and on flights over the years, and the problem is the politicisation of education.

Mahathir is to blame, so too is Anwar Ibrahim, so too are DAP and PAS. PKR are new, it is too soon to judge them. DAP have not enough Malay members for me to like them, but they are the closest thing to a Western style, pragmatic, liberal left of centre party.PAS seem to be getting more pragmatic.

Who makes money when the textbooks are revised?

It is the publishing houses such as Sin Jit Poh (MCA owned and linked corporation).

Noone in the present cabinet is particularly stupid. They are just interested in their own pockets and are two faced. The problem is that they are not clever enough on how to hide being two faced. The master of that was Mahathir, and his protege….is Anwar. The Pakatan Rakyat are still learning how to ride the bicycle of governance. They say one thing, while in their hearts and souls, they know it is a facade, a wayang kulit, designed to secure votes amongst their core audience, namely UMNO members, the civil service, the army, the police force, and that audience are about 15% of voters. Throw in contractors, beneficiaries from land deals, kick backs, bribes, and I dread to think how much more of the electorate is dependent on state largesse. The dream of a Bangsa Malaysia is just that, a dream, because it does not recognise the inherent diversity of the nation, with all its various traditions and cultures woven into its fabric.

Why is America successful? Canada? Singapore? Australia?

They are successful because they appreciate and respect diversity in all its forms. They are nations formed of disparate immigrant populations, with many traditions and outlooks, but all appreciate one thing.

Success, education, freedom. Economic opportunity based on the rule of law. Freedom to object. Freedom of assembly and of protest. Freedom of speech. Freedom to expose corruption. Accountability. Politicians actually go to jail when they are caught, or if they are lucky, they are forced to resign, and get publicly humiliated.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia earns RM15,000 per month. How can he be honest on that kind of salary, when a house in Penang island costs at least RM1/2 Million

Seperation of church from state, and thats the key problem that will prevent Malaysia from progressing much further up the socio economic ladder. Wawasan 2020 will remain a pointless slogan, rather than an aim. There are many other pointless slogans, such as Malaysia Boleh. In the land of Rasuahisation, there is only one slogan. Saya Boleh.

Finally, despite my Western ideology and outlook, I do appreciate that it does not apply to the Malaysian scenario. It can never apply. But making irrelevant “noise” about Gaza and the Palestinian issue is merely making Malaysia look like a laughing stock. Yes, people are dying and being butchered, but what is the use of taking kids from a classroom with their teachers under the likely threat of expulsion and suspension for not engaging in this facade? It is, yet again, an example of the schitzophrenic UMNO view on public protest.

You know, I am so pissed off at this stage, I will get an Israeli Flag and hang it from my balcony. The Israeli Jews argue bitterly amongst themselves, and are very complex and divided, yet they are free to do so. Women have equal rights. Religion and state are seperate. Its a free market. They have had to impose vicious human rights sanctions by virtue of pressure from external factors such as Hamas. The IRA terrorists from Ireland were bad enough, but at least they were honourable enough to give warnings and avoid civilian casualties to a reasonable degree, but what way is there of negotiating with a suicide bomber?

Malaysia does not even recognise Israel as a state, and yet it blames America. If it wants to engage and solve this, Malaysia must go beyond its membership of the OIC, and become the bridge between East and West, recognise Israel, and by doing so, it will gain the respect of Asian, European and America. This is the land of the Melaka sultanate, which traded with East and West and prospered. It was great once, it can be great again, but it needs to sacrifice some things first in order to attain greater things.

By doing so, it can do far more for the Palestinian people than any number of pointless street protests.

  10. Dermo – It’s time for you to open your own blog man.

  11. I’d need two or three to cover my “lifestyle”

One for politics and current affairs.

One for the wrong kind of stuff.

  12. Oh fuck it anyway….
