I was channel surfing a couple of weeks ago, which I hardly do, since it’s ASTRO, as my channel choices are limited to the 7s and 8s, and came across Astro Prima, and caught a program called Expose Mistik, smack dab in the middle of a exorcism by some imam in God knows where.

I was really skeptical, because it looked like the Malay woman faked her ghostly possession. In my mind, I thought, that’s it, loads of gullible people will buy into this bullshit. The part that amused me the most was when the imam uttered some words in the quran, and the so-called possessed woman repeated it in a high and sarcastic tone. I wanted to see the Imam’s response.

The interviewer then asked the imam, why is the demon insulting the words of Islam, to which the imam said, “Ada jin islam and ada jin bukan islam, ini jin bukan islam”. Hahahahahahahahaha!

That’s not even the best part. The best part was, some 15 minutes later, after this lady spewed babble left right and centre, the imam spoke to the “jin”. “Jin, I give you 2 options, either you convert to Islam….” I didn’t hear the rest as I roared with laughter and went rolling rolling rolling.

I never ever heard someone trying to convert a demonic spirit to Islam. LOL! I wonder if it is technically possible to convert animals into Islam too? :-)

  9. in islam, djinn’s are like humans too. they either can be muslims or non-muslims. i dont think there’s any difference whether he converted the djinn into a muslim unless the djinn rela without any force cause you can’t force any being to be a muslim. they have their own personality which God had created them and even converted humans misbehave sometimes.

  12. hmm…..
Religion is a belief. One who have a religion understand why he or she choose to believe the religion. You believe that God is existed. You believe that it will conduct your spiritual belief to be a better person.

One converted to any religion from other religion or from no religion because he understand and appreciate that particular religion teaching and belief. No body can convert a person (or in this case Jin, animal etc) without consent.

So, in my opinion, if Jin can be converted to any religion (in this Islam) then Jin can talk, can think, have soul, have intelligence etc, same goes to animal (and ur dog mimi, hahaha).

so based on my observation, I can’t understand why in this century we still have media promoting something that illogical?
and sorry to say I wont waste my even one second to watch this ridiculous drama…

    haha, funny.

  13. is this based on a real story? :)

  15. I’ll end up expanding on this at some point in the future on my own blog. I will point out that the workings of the human mind, and soul (for want of a better word), are unseen entities.

These are part and parcel of what we are. With all our technology, technical prowess, and material wealth, we THINK we are advanced. We think we are advanced enough to ignore and mock spiritual matters.

It is rather difficult to define. I am a rational being, but were I to expand much further on it I would come across as a bit nuts.

Generally, no genuine exorcist will allow filming to take place, so what was . Bomohs and witchdoctors feel the same way. There is a distinct and palpable change in the atmosphere in a room when “things” are being done. It usually gets colder, irrationally cold.

  16. Umm.. I do believe black magic and stuffs but those on TVs are all fakes… And about converting Jins to Islam… err.. I’m not so sure.. of course it sounds funny but… In reality these kind of things aren’t funny at all… ^^;;

  18. oh my..was it real? with the imam’s questions??hahahahahaaaa..sooooo funny…now i know in this world..there is jin islam and jin not islam..hahaha..still, m laughing..hahahahaa

  19. tekkaus – Ya man, damn funny!

Mimi – Your dogs are islam? LOL! They fast ka? Kesian kan oink oink ko! LOL!

GnomeFan – OK, if I start saying what I thought now, I’d might be thrown into ISA because there are loads of sensitive folks out there. I shall bite my tongue. So I take it that muslim demons are holier than the non-muslim ones?

emelda – A converted oink, hmmm, that’s such a walking contradiction! LOL!

laeticia – Let me answer that, if it is an islamic demon, they will be asked politely to leave, but if it isn’t, it will be asked to convert, and then politely asked to leave. More brownie points apparently.

AngelBear – Yeah, but it’s so ridiculous that I had to watch it. Wanted to see the drama that would probably affect most of the gullible folks living in rural areas.

xin – Yes, they do exist, but do we know that they also have religion? I wonder if there’s a vegetarian demon.

Alv0808 – Baptizing demons. The silly part, they’re still demons. Apparently they will behave, else there might be a fatwa against them! Don’t play play.

sarah – Hmmm, do we know this for a fact?

    huei – Unfortunately, it’s not.

jppmom – It’s true, they even blanked out the face. It was “live”. Only in Malaysia!

sheela – Religion is created to give mankind something to hang on to. I’m not gonna go further on that one. Yes, our media is a joke, we’re turning into a tabloid country.

Christopher – Dude, it’s not based on anything, because it WAS real, taken during the shooting.

Phil – Check out Astro Prima, there might be. It’s not as supernatural as you would believe. You’ll end up laughing more than anything else. :-)

Diarmuid Curran – Dermo, I’m not gonna deny there’s no such thing as demons, because I don’t know that for a fact. Just like these folks don’t know for a fact that the demons have religions, and love to play congkak during their free time when they’re not in someone’s body.

IRTeA – Yes, in reality it isn’t, but the show made a mockery out of it.

kaDusMama – Malaysia boleh mah! LOL!

sHeiLa – Yes, it was real. The commentator’s face was real. The imam was real. The possessed had her identity hidden. You and me both.

  20. Hahahahahahahahahah!

    *rolling on the floor, laughing*

OMG! This is the first! I know TV always had this exorcism crap going on… but I never ever heard that ‘conversion’ part!!! Usually the imam only do some reading bla bla bla and like kicking the demon arse out of the body… teehehe.

Knowing how is the majority of malays in Malaysia, I bet that program has the highest rating always. Hahahaha.

  21. waaa.. lucu la.. demons oso can be converted ka? hahaha.. hahhahaa and hahahahaha again… hahhahahahaa~!!!

if demons oso have mind and soul, why not they pay half of the house rent since they just love to ’stay’ with human being kan. they made human beings takut lagi nampak2 kelibat durang dalam rumah.. if betul2 la demons tu can think, buat la ruma sendiri2 di tanah yang dibeli sendiri, mau share buat pa. <– luahan orang yang marah sebap kena kacau ‘benda2′ dalam rumah sendiri

  22. Faiez – Unfortunately it is true, and lots of gullible rural folks will be duped into this, just like they’re duped into bomohs inserting beads into their privates!

AnnieMing – Tell me about it. LOL!

  23. nak convert Lucifer lah kalau macam tu…so that Lucifer won’t bring harm to the human…XD hahaha….

i hope you guys know who is Lucifer la….LUCIFER=The Satan’s leader in christianity…

  24. DeePo – Lucifer is Satan’s leader in christianity? You on medication ka? Lucifer is Satan, and I believe some imam in Kampung Kelantan has already converted Lucifer. Apparently, he’s now the leader of terrorists. :-)

  25. Omg.. Lucifer is Satan’s leader in Christianity? Didnt know mr satan had a religion.. and now he’s been converted?? hahaha… hilarious.. :)

  26. Aaron – Ya man. He’s now training future terrorists, can you imagine, kamikaze terrorist training. LOL!

  27. Mr D!!! WICKED!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….this post was the one that made me wanna say something here….

this bit blew me away too…now i’m gonna try and spot this on astro…lol!!! just when i thought nothing on the internet can amaze me, i see this post (albeit a bit late) but nonetheless amazing…

“lucifer is satan’s leader” must’ve made you laugh really really hard…. can we give DeePo a car bumper sticker that said that ah? cheers DeePo..no ill-feelings…*sniggers*

    keep it up, mr d.

  28. Antoni – Dude!!!! It’s been a while since I heard from you man! And it is a pleasant surprise to see your comment here! Ya man, we should come up with that bumper sticker, and distribute free of charge to the students of UTM. :-) Remember, Lucifer is now Al-Lucifer.

  29. Mind if i ask, are you an atheist?

  30. BigMan – Nope. But you have to admit converting a demon to a religion is rather silly. Does the demon become an angel?
