Malaysian Muslim Eateries Boycotting Coca Cola!

“More than 2,000 Muslim restaurants in Malaysia will remove Coca-Cola from their menus as part of a boycott of American products in protest against Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, officials said Wednesday.”
OooOooOooooo…sounds like the buggers at Pepsi are involved in this conspiracy.
What’s next? A fatwa on Coca Cola? It’s about time that took place, as when Coca Cola is involved in any activity, it usually leads to fingering/wanking in the cinemas, skodeng activities and Mat Rempits being able to afford that drink in nightclubs.
While we’re at it, might as well ban all fast food chains, and ban all that is American. What joke of a country are we turning out to be? Instead of concentrating on the myriads of problems that is plaguing Malaysia, we come up with announcements like these to deflect all classes of citizens.
The next general elections just cannot come soon enough!

hahaha….sound too funny for me.
it seem an easy way for government just simply ban everything. i mean come on who doesn’t care about things that happenned in Gaza, we are no matter what race and religion do not like killing each other. but what can one do to help by ban coca cola????, instead concentrating what matter most in our own land we go and ban coca cola to show our support (kononla). We have international organization to channel our concerned, why jeopardize malaysian who like coca cola.
soon all things will get ban. fast food. music. movie. cloths. books. what the heck. I wonder this people in the government have had ever use their brain to think or not. Think. Malaysia becoming more and more unbelievable. I wanna migrate.

Wonder what impact this move will make… Lets hope American dun decide to boycott out products in retaliation. If they do, then we are Royally F****d. Btw I don’t thinks this is a government ban, I thought it was just some association calling for it.

Its a ridiculous notion, and while whats going on in Gaza is a tragedy, all of this was preventable.
Since 1952, it has been clear that the Gaza strip and the Palestinian territories were overpopulated and economically deprived. The hypocrisy of the Muslim countries in the Middle East is astounding. The reality is that they hate the Palestinians even more than the Israelis. The reality is that the Hamas Government in the Gaza strip and West Bank was/is horrendously corrupt. If the Muslim nations such as Egypt, Syria and even Malaysia genuinely cared, they would offer economic opportunities to the people of Gaza.
Unfortunately, the attacks by Israel were unavoidable, and history has proven that noone fucks around with Israel with impunity. Of course, we’ll read Dr M spout his anti semetic nonsense at some stage. But he does not offer a solution. Besides, what business is it of Malaysia anyway. Malaysia has enough problems of its own, and should be taking better care of its own impoverished in the Kampungs than interfering in some idiotic battle half a world away.
The reality is, that the war will stop when the adults have the wisdom to love their children more than they hate the Israelis, the Jews and the Americans.
The reality is that a traumatised child turns out to be a very angry adult.
The reality is, that just as World War One started with “some nonsense in the Balkans”, as predicted by Otto Von Bismarck, the next global conflict will start with some nonsense in the Middle East.
Does anyone want to know who the real pariah state is in the Middle East. The real truly venal scum. Its the Saudi Royal family. Each and every one of those child molesting hypocrites should be hung from the Central Square in Riyadh, and the day that happens, Muslims can finally hold their heads high again.

Flo – Exactly. God bless Malaysia.
deedee – Tell me about it. I’m gonna have lunch at a mamak restaurant and demand for Coca Cola.
edgar – Ya man, somebody’s idea of pushing to us barang buatan Malaysia. Soon, the only clothing we’re allowed to wear is batik.
One Other – It’s unfortunately is. Think? You mean, they have brains?
sheela – Our government is silly. We all know that. Don’t migrate, just help me in my quest of freeing Sabah from this nonsense.
Ebeez82 – Well, I’m not a fan of Coca Cola at all, no effect on me, but the fact that they actually boycotting it shows you how dumb they are.
chel – The Americans would probably laugh at us. A puny country. It’s not a government ban, but the original call was made by the government.
Alv0808 – Yeah, that’s all Malaysia is good at doing.
Christopher – KFC? LOL. The mamaks would probably also sneak into the outlets to satisfy their hunger of coca cola.
AngelBear – Yes, stupid aren’t they?
IRTeA – Booooo. I’m not a carbonated drink fan. Boooo sama dia!
xin – Yup yup.
Just – Yeah, I think they should ban mamak restaurants instead for increasing their food/drink price by 3 million ringgit whenever petrol price goes up by 1 cent. Dumb fux!
Diarmuid Curran – Your comment deserves a standing ovation for hitting the nail on the head. Too bad, they would probably be too confused to comprehend your comments, they might prepare banners to complain about how bad they are treated. What you said are facts. The Middle East countries are mega hypocrites.
troisnyx* – Our government channeling funds to war victims? LOL! They probably collect donations, then then take 70% for themselves because they believe it’s their right. Balls.
sriyany – Yup. Saudi Arabia, big culprits. They can get away with murder sometimes.
desmond-t – Imagine Pepsi as the mixer in clubs, LOL. At least it’ll deter Mat Rempits from frequenting the joints, to binge on Coca Cola and go high, or even “sohai”.
Nadia – Another word – MORONIC.

try ordering it at the restaurants and see whether it was just a gimmick by the govt. dont trust the newspapers, go and order it. and if its still available blog abt it then.
why coke and not pepsi? hehe …… conspiracy
lots more brands or business related to usa to be banned. and in the first place we shld ban intel and amd. dont forget to ban microsoft, linux and mac os. we have to stop apple, dell, hp, compaq, ibm from bringing in computers.
eat local stuff, not mcdonalds, kfc, wendys, burger king, subway or pizza hut
and then this will make many malaysians out of work ….. wow that’s the best. no work hence no money to spend on usa products. good plan!

hmm.. deja vu for me. I remember during 9-11, I was studying in a local uni at that time. And so many foreign students and a great number of us were all glued to whatever TV we could get our hands on about this.
And there lah… in the middle of that global crisis, a particular on-campus religious group had started a petition to boycott American products. They truly believed that what happened at 9-11 was karma for all the shite that America has done and the loss of lives was proof.
Now, I am not saying that America is blameless.. they have their issues and so do we. But it was the insanity of that situation and while all this was going on, this group of students were wearing american brand shoes, using computers, books, mc D was proudly displayed on the table and so forth..
why can’t we spend our time building our own nation instead? we have kids who might as well be dead because their families fall below the marginal poverty line and they are not getting proper health care. Kids without education because there are no road systems that can conviniently get them to school (read the plight of the orang asli and ppl in East Malaysia). Fine, you want ppl to support local produce, then give to the people what is theirs. Our people in the local industries are suffering because of idiotic middle people who are busy exploting them! So while this campaign may drive sales on local produce, the poor are still poor and the middle men are getting richer!
Definately Malaysia boleh! *gag puke vomit*

Im not for Israel, but lets be practical… The American government is the one making the decisions, so, why should be punish the people, or those working in Cocacola factories. If they get retrenched due to a huge drop of demand… would you be happy to see them suffer?
Already the economy is bad… people are loosing jobs… and now, some of us want to ruin other’s life. I figure, the best way is to say no to war, and to promote peace.. and press the Isrealis for peace.
Don’t make others pay for what they didn’t do. Not all Americans support the policy of Bush you know..

Faiez – Carbonated drinks are evil. Repent before a fatwa is released.
Nick Phillips – Yeah, it’s everyday now, you see stupid news like this.
massy – Yup.
johnny ong – I tried, at a mamak restaurant today, they had coke, but I didn’t follow through because I only drink coke with Jack Daniel’s.
Looks like they don’t care, so the media is feeding us lies.
coffeerox – Stupid closed minded wankers. And I’m being nice.
cdason – I’m for neither Israel and Palestine, I’m sure they both have their own faults. Our government is very shortsighted, the world knows it already.

Can we really blame other countries for what the Palestinians and Israelis have decided their fate to be? Both of these countries do not want peace. Before all these were going on, they just got done with signing a peace treaty then one of these two countries violate the peace treaty by bombing the other. Some media say Palestine started first, other media say Israel started first. So what can we do? I don’t freakin know. Yes, my heart goes to the people who have died in the conflict but there really is nothing I can do to make it stop unless they want it. Neither can you. You also cannot do anything just by sitting there and boycott American products all you want. The least you (or the Malaysian government) do is provide help, either monetary, food or labor, not boycott. Boycott isn’t going to stop the freakin war. You know why? I’ll just give an example of Coca Cola. Coca Cola headquarters is in Atlanta, Georgia. There is 3 million people living in Atlanta alone which is the size of KL. Does Malaysian government really think banning Coke in malaysia will hurt American economy or stop the Palestinian-Israeli war?
1. First of all, Coca Cola isn’t even associated with US government. It is a private company. Hurting Coke isn’t going to stop US government from shipping weapons to Israel.
2. Second, Coca Cola make enough profit just by having customers in US alone because I bet you almost every single household in America drink Coke products every damn day and do you know how many people live in America? They don’t need to sell their products in other countries to give them profit.
I wish those people who just want to boycott every single damn thing use their heads. I think the only thing we can do is go through UN and help these two countries to achieve peace. To ban things isn’t going to change anything.

All you guys who are against the ban are only concerned about your food. Is Coca Cola or Pepsi the only drink you guys get in Malaysia. Back here in Sri Lanka the local drinks are more tasty and the market share of these two brands is very less..
Remember each drink of coke you consume contributes some percentage towards Israel. Which those terrorists you to kill innocent Palestinian people. More than 1200 killed this time out of which about 50% where women and children….
So, lets Boycott Israel products and US products supporting Israel and prevent the next massacre which Israel is planning..
