I’m abstaining from Meat, Chocolate, Sambal Ikan Bilis & Alcohol for 40 Days but not Sex!

Here I go again. It’s my 12th year of abstinence. I sometimes question myself as to my motives. Yes, I scarcely go to church for mass – once a year at most, hence I’ve decided years ago to exercise this as to not chafe God off when the day of reckoning arrives. It’s also because of my detoxification ritual that I embraced this practice.
Anyway, I haven’t thought about what I would refrain this year. Let’s see – no meat, no chocolate, no icecream, no sambal ikan bilis, no sex, no oral sex, no 69, no doggy style, no spooning and no alcoholic beverages whatsoever. I shall strive not to curse as well, replacing words like fuck with fish, bastards with UMNO, motherfuckers with ketuanan melayu, asshole with lingam, slut with MCA/MIC (depending on mood).
For 40 days beginning Ash Wednesday (25th Feb 09) to Easter (12th Apr 09). I’m always pressured to vamoose St Paddy’s Day because it always falls during Lent. Bollocks!…oops! Errr…heheh…I mean…Najib!
There are 44 days during the dates when you’re supposed to abstain for 40 days. Why? Well, apparently, on Sundays, we are not supposed to desist and be about as normal. In that case, who wanna join me at 12:01am on Sundays in a food and drink debauchery that revolves around meat, chocolate, ikan bilis sambal and alcohol?

Ok la, abstinence is still bearable, last time people were compelled to fast for 40 days during Lent (it’s true) – no food at all! Really like the Muslim fast. Imagine how hungry ppl were -.-
That said, happy Lent and enjoy yourself nevertheless. Abstinence doesn’t have to be sorrowful, we can make it happy lol

Wei liaw i thot muslims fast fr dawn till dusk only lah … not without food at all for 30days straight… and at night they can eat, hv sex etc, at least that’s what my malay colleague told me.
I also should go to the mass, NEXT YR ! LOL
