Video Games for Grown Ups

My addiction on PS2 games has now officially died down. I bought the PS2 last year and found my favorite game ever – God of War. FIFA 2009 was OK too and it fed into my addiction on football by creating a super Arsenal side with me playing as Captain. All other PS2 games are just bloody lame and attracts simpletons. Bollocks.
Previously, the term gamers were given to anti-social teens who rather spend hours and hours sitting on their ass everyday playing games. I used to be some form of a gamer – thanks to Championship Manager series where I remembered playing countless of hours (the game went on until the year 2023!) on my computer. But then, like everything else, the interest kinda waned.
These days, I noticed that more and more adults are into video games, these adults were the first generation of individuals exposed to computers. Some of them are more hooked on than others, and some of them use the games as a way of bonding with their children. That is a good thing but of course the children’s time needs to be controlled else they will end up being some form of anti-social freaks.
Most of us grew up watching one of the best cartoons in the form of The Simpsons and that has opened us to new realms of accepting gaming although we have aged.
I’m a seasonal gamer – and right now, only GOD OF WAR whets my appetite. Because of that, I just might buy PS3 in the coming years to play God of War 3 and then let the machine gather dust.

Seasonal gamer – I’m one of those. Once I get hooked, I’m a recluse until I get tired of the game, heh heh.
By the way, thanks for dropping by Sunway the other day with Mel. Means super-duper loads to me to have your support
You guys are fabulous!

Ooh, my husband totally loves this game! GOW is also coming to PSP, both the game and also Kratos’s special appearance in Soul Calibur PSP. Btw, GOW 2009 has made it to one of the most violent game in E3 2009.
I used to be a pretty hardcore gamer until I became a mother. Now I can only play Bigfish games hehe. No time. My PS2 pun already derma to my brothers.

cicak – Agree!
Alv0808 – I used to do that when I was younger, hooked on Championship Manager back then, minus the food though cause that’s the time I pause.
Melissa – Exactly like me. No problem, hope to see you in Sabah next month!
Michi – Agreed, playing outdoors is no longer like before.
Nick Phillips – God of War!!!!
sheela – Good for you.
Sarah – Your husband’s got great taste!
JL – Nope, I don’t, unless you count Scrabble at Facebook?
xin – Aren’t the games expensive?
