Internet Dating will have a say in Future Marriages
SharePosted on 29. Jul, 2009 by Gallivanter in Relationship
Did you know that Mel & I met online through a social website? I was surfing through some profiles to expand my social circle when I chanced upon her profile. She then contacted me and the rest they say is history.
The skepticism towards online dating is unavoidably shrinking away. Gone are the days where online dating is viewed as a last resort by those who feel that their dating years are behind them and their biological clock is coming to a halt.

It is now fast becoming part of the dating culture. It cuts out the usual hoopla that revolves around the traditional dating by getting right down to business. You can now weed the totally undesirabe and increase your chances of meeting the one.
There are over 6 billion humans in the world and only a handful are in your daily life. Don’t limit yourself to what you have available in your social circle. Put yourself virtually out there because if you are looking for love, step it up and make use of cupid’s new skills of surgical arrows.
Take control of your love life by improving your odds of landing THE ONE.

Great post and congrats on the recent marriage! I am going through the same thing, Ive been dating my girlfriend I found online for a year now, and she is the most amazing person ever. I dont think others should be soooo skeptical. If you be your real self and find someone that clicks with you amazingly, the rest really is history. I care for my girlfriend a lot and Im starting to realize that she is my ONE
Great post

Yeah! People are using online social network to find loves. But still there is danger. But nontheless, you are proof that love could happened.

Tyson Trepidatious – I’m not married yet, only just got engaged but thanks anyway!
tekkaus – There is a danger to everything. But to find love, risks must be taken.
Alv0808 – You don’t need to give your heart in the beginning. The idea is not to find love but to expand your social network. Love will come naturally.
AngeLBeaR – Well, that doesn’t mean you don’t have luck. It only means the right one hasn’t come along yet. But don’t give up.
flo – Thanks!
HQ – Thanks!
ALTing – High five!
Cathj – No, we haven’t tied the knot, just the engagement only.
chegu carol – Yes it does.
emelda – Hmmm, bah, I’ll keep your secret. Hehehehe!
Carol – I used to, but now am stripping away all the funky functions to keep the site more lean. I shall be changing the layout in the coming months to make it simpler.

awe! i’m currently involved in an online relationship and it’s by far the most amazing relationship i’ve ever been part of. the thing about online dating is that you get to know THE PERSON. physical attraction is important…but it’s not the most important thing. online dating helps you look past that and lets you see the inner beauty of people. also, physical affection doesn’t become the center of the relationship. i think online dating is perfectly healthy…and me and my boyfriend are looking forward to meeting for the first time this upcoming december as he’s traveling to the states from australia (:

Rozella – Thanks!
cheska – Actually, I think you got it wrong, the opposite sex are probably too insecure of themselves.
marly – Nice one!

hey there, congrates on ur recent engagement..its been quite some time since I last read ur blog.. took time away from my blog coz was busy with work..btw.. I agree with you, I met my current boyfriend in one of the social network..was skeptical at first but then again took the risk, starting from online chatting, to exchanging hp numbers then text msgs everyday and finally we decided to meet right a month before my birthday..then it was history…still going on now despite having obstacles along the way but am hoping to go somewhere..
its worth the trying online dating but of course they might be risks..mb we’re one of the lucky ones I guess
