Men vs Women – The Protocol of Peeing
Posted on 10. Nov, 2009 by Gallivanter in Gender
No, this post is not meant reinforce stereotyping the genders. Of course not. Really. Promise. I’m just keeping it real. Honest.
OK, I can speak for men, our toilet visits are quick. We go in, do the business, and get out. Women though, of course, depending on who they go out with, it become an outing, talking about the various subjects.
I believe us men practice a set of unspoken rules of silence as a respect for personal space. Are we different or are we different?
Good thing my fiancée is an exception to the rule. To all you women, why do you like spending longer time than required in a place where the process of defecation and urination takes place?

I’ve often wondered that myself. And the same here, good thing my wife is the same as me, go in and come out quickly.

Seriously, I always do everything quickly (no dawdling, no chat, no extra touch-up) but my husband will still be outside first. Maybe its our clothes.

Nope, don’t spend too a long time in the toilets… that’s the place where all bacteris and germs are… deal with the business and get out as fast as I can.
@Jewelle : Maybe is the queue the females have to wait because the female can’t tie their urination urge as good as the male?

because, when we want to get it done with…there will always be a long queue in front forcing us to wait much longer than the time we spent inside the loo itself. well, at least for me, thats the case la…

Hahaha even during secondary school, the girls will never go to the toilet alone… Kau mau p tandas ka? Sa mau p oh.. kawan sa… haha…
I think the toilet acts like a personal space for them to update themselves about the MOST recent thing happened… Hey Jen the burger just now was horrible, reminds me this girl back in college.. haha

Nick Phillips – Ya man, zip zip!
Jewelle – I think it’s because of the urinals, and the fact that we can stand.
ladyviral – Good point.
chegu carol – Yeah, that one’s a given. But what about when there’s no traffic?
Daniel Chiam – LOL. The gossip room.
tekkaus – Yup, we’re just a zip away.
lvynana – Touch up?

We women takes time mau hang the handbag… clean the toilet seat, open whatever needs to be opened, clean up, adjust clothing, go out look into mirror to adjust the hair and check makeup. Finally wash hands.
Men everything is easy bah… pop it out pop it in. Just stand and aim. ;-p

Olie – True, I think that could possibly be a more logical reason. I shall give women the benefit of the doubt, you folks don’t use the loo as a place of gossip right?

Bcos women make sure they wash their hands, adjust their clothes, and do some touch up before leaving the toilet.
Men just pee and leave without bothering to wash hands : )
Gay men will however take a bit longer as they need to touch up but still cannot beat the straight women.
Lesbians will be slightly faster than gay men : )

I’m the 50% that washes my hands.
