I was an outdoor gurl who happens to be in the boys club. My gurlfriends will look at me as a tomboy with a beautiful pony tail well combed. I love playing with the boys as it ws much fun compare to my species heheheh

I tend to avoid being glued at home. Back from school at 12:15pm, got out from uniforms and played all day..catching frogs in the abandoned ditch, running, playing tags, shooting ourselves with a catapult...making one was fun!

i really enjoyed my childhood days! And i couldn't forget being canned for being back home late at 8pm for a 6 grader.

During my teens, i thought it wouldn't be a harm letting go of my kids to the woods and meddle with the muds. But, as a grown up at this juncture, i'll give a double triple thinking about it heheheh:p

Terra - Like those pesky cartoons on Nickleodeon? :-P

Nick Phillips - You still can, can't you?

ladyviral - Yes, higher odds.

Daniel Chiam - It is easier said than done amigo, so until I'm presented with that situation, I won't say I WILL NOT ALLOW. The future could be worse in terms of safety.

lvynana - It is.

Angel - Yeah, it will never be the same.

mimi - Yeah, I think at least on weekends, set aside some family time, and also a field nearby the house where the kids can play footie and you can keep a watchful eye on them.

Jessica - I won't be surprised. I think it's already there and it's called Wii. :-P

claire - I think we all are. As technology is introduced, we get lazier.

Carol - Agreed, better safe than sorry. But I think if parents pull their resources together, we can have kids play outdoor again under watchful eyes.

xin - Oh yes, I played football, basketball, badminton, softball, hockey, volleyball you name it!

My brother and I walked along main roads and traffic lights when we were 10 and 8, carrying a bucket of fish fished illegally from the State Stadium pond.
Nowadays, I can't even let my kids out on our fenced backyard without checking on them every 2 mins, with one ear listening to their voices and calling out when I hear none.
Pathetic yes, but we live in a different world and I rather be pathetic than sorry.
Still, mine are tanned although I wonder if I should be more like other moms and keep them indoors and maintain that fair skin!
