Looking Back on 2009

To sum it up, it has been an eventful rollercoaster year, with a lot of ups in the end that made the earlier downs a worthwhile ride at the end.
Here’s a look back of 2009 through my favorite collection of posts.
It started out with my blog interview with the Malay Mail which was certainly a wonderful surprise. After mulling about it for a couple of months, I’ve decided to launch my music blog Gallivantism, to share the latest mp3s for free but I have decided to shut it down as it’s taking too much of my time, so I will close it down and return music sharing to this blog.
Helping out my company during Harlem Globetrotters’s Malaysia visit was an awesome experience and that did not stop as I immediately heard about Arsene Wenger’s surprise visit to Dataran Merdeka.
Shortly before my examination, I was informed by SMS about the death of Michael Jackson, which was a major shock to me that had me in tears. I soon sat for my remaining examinations – Law and Accounts and passed both! Yes, Michael Jackson played a major role in my early years.
Not long after that, I went on a 2-Week break to Sabah that covered Semporna, Sandakan and finally Kota Kinabalu, where I got engaged to Mel of Kadazanbonita when we were in Sandakan. The year then went a little musical for me as I officially became a music review contributor to Junk Magazine which I now do on a monthly basis.
Since August, I heard about Thrill the World event and decided to take part in it, where I decided to infuse a little bit of Christmas in my outfit by killing Santa Clause while dancing to Thriller in a bid to break the world record. That was fun to say the least. Somewhere in between, was our holiday in Krabi.
And, also, one of the moments that I have been waiting for over the last year or so, was the release of Bon Jovi’s The Circle which showcased 6 epic tunes, and also the band’s plan of visiting Asia in 2011. I’m definitely going for that with Mel.
The year has ended with another holiday to Bali (my third visit) with Mel, and yet another memorable Christmas celebration. I’m looking forward to New Year’s Eve where I will be the DJ once again for our family home party!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 to all of my blog readers!
