2010 FIFA World Cup – My Initial Prediction
Posted by Gallivanter in Football on 10. Mar, 2010 | 11 Comments
OK, before I proceed, I would like to say that the country that I support is Germany, and been supporting them since 1990 and Lothar Matthaeus still remains my favorite player of all time. Moving on with my initial prediction, which I shall tweak closer to the event, looking at the player selections for each [...]
I Saw Arsene Wenger at Dataran Merdeka for the Castrol Football Coaching Session!

If you can see me now, I’m grinning from ear to ear that would put the Joker to shame. Wenger’s visit to Malaysia wasn’t publicized much, and thanks to my colleague, who spotted a lilliputian section of the back page of the NST newspaper last week, I called my Arsenal compadre to confirm the news!
Until Monday, I [...]
Spain vs Germany – EURO 2008 Final Preview

I’ll be watching this match @ Souled Out Hartamas, with some of my fellow colleagues of Total Sports Asia (TSA). As such, since our CEO is coincidentally a German, just like the country I’ve been supporting since Lothar Matthaeus’ West Germany’s World Cup victory in 1990.
The million dollar question is, which Germany will show up? [...]
Spain vs Russia Semi-Final Preview (EURO 2008 Babes)

It won’t be 4-1. The Russians have learned from that and learned it well. It all takes one good game and you’re back in the groove! With Ashavin and Pavulychenko in the heart of the Russian setup, I fancy them. I fancy the Russians to at least peg the Spaniards back for 90 minutes and [...]
Germany vs Turkey Preview (EURO Babes 2008)

Will Smith a GERMAN fan like me? (in Germany for HANCOCK premiere)
As predicted, Turkey defeated Croatia, Russia destroyed Holland. As hoped, Germany ousted Portugal. Tournament by tournament, teams like Holland, Spain and Portugal flatter to deceive. They usually do really well in the group stages and then wither away when it matters the most.
Unlike Germany [...]
Portugal vs Germany (Euro 2008 Babes Gallery)

Stuttering Germany are now up against it. Their EURO credentials were severely dented by Croatia, and they were not convincing at all against Austria, though Ballack’s goal was pure world-class. I still expect Germany to put up a massive fight. Portugal are certainly favorites in this tie. Will it be a thrashing in the hands [...]
Germany vs Austria (EURO 2008 Babes)

This is a big game for Germany, who has really disappointed in the last game. Croatia deserved every bit of the win. It felt like the Germans in their mind, thought they already qualified for the next round. It was one of the most weakest German game I’ve witnessed since 2004.
Germany vs Austria
I still believe, [...]
Germany vs Croatia (EURO Babes 2008)

Well well well, the shocker of the round has to go to Holland who made pancakes out of Italy. I was happy, because I never liked the Italians, though I hate England the most. It is pleasant to watch EURO 2008 without the babied England and their whiny fans who have been clinging on the [...]
Germany 2 Poland 0 (EURO 2008 Babes)

I watched the kickoff at 2:45am, filled with excitement and expectation at the same time. The first 20 minutes were breathtaking stuff. Germany played at full speed, like a runaway train threatening to smash everything in its wake.
This is unlike the Germany before 2006, where they played like machines – efficient. These days, they lack [...]
