I’m Officially CHROMED! Google Chrome vs Mozilla Firefox – Browser War!

Well well well, finally, a browser that’s even more simpler than Firefox! I’ve been eagerly waiting the launch of Google’s browser. Forget Internet Explorer, and if you’re using that browser, I suggest that you dump that crappy software for Google Chrome. I would’ve said Firefox but having used Chrome today, I’m extremely pleased with it. Simplicity at its best.
I hated IE for so long, always been the alternative browser user – from Netscape, to Maxthon, to Firefox and now Google Chrome. It loads faster, though it has bugs because it’s only a beta version, especially freezing during loading of certain websites (not all, particularly a site with heavy Java usage). Screw the upcoming IE8 and their attempts to BLOCK Google on their browser.
I use a lot of Google applications such as Google Reader, Google Blog Search, iGoogle, Google Webmaster, Google Analytics and Google Adsense, to name a few. Yes, I’m a big Google fan – an Oogly Googly.
Here are some outstanding features of this SIMPLE browser. Google Chrome warns you if you’re about to visit a suspected phishing, malware or otherwise unsafe website. To bookmark a web page, simply click on the star icon at the left edge on the address bar. Google Chrome imports all Firefox and IE bookmarks and password with a single click during installation!
This page is a default when you open a tab, it loads up a visual of your most visited sites, search history, bookmarked pages and closed tabs. Coolness!
Suggestions as you type. One unified box for history, URL and suggestions! Coolness!

Drag tabs out of the browser to create new windows! Your tabs are independent of each other, so a crash will only take that affected tab down. Coolness!
If you want privacy for the pages not to show up in your history, choose new incognito window. I don’t see a point unless you wanna hide your porn-surfing habits.
A simple download manager – see your download status at the bottom of the current window. Coolness!
With this, I’m officially Chromed! I’m Oogly Googly for Google! Simplicity is certainly the way forward. Firefox will slowly be wiped away when Chrome introduces new features. What a cool open source browser! Thumbs up from Gallivanter!
Download Google Chrome NOW by clicking the image above! OLE!

OMG it’s the kewless thing ever…I mean I’m using it. XD I need it in linux! nao! XD
I downloaded it and am trying it now after reading your post. so far so good
i’m still testing Chrome… from a programmer’s view, Opera follows the web standards as it should be, with FF doing a good job as well… IE, as usual, thinks it’s the most superior of all and follows its own standards, thus making web programmer’s lives become hell just to make sure the sites look perfect in IE (coz a lot of idiots are still using IE).
Chrome does have more juicy functions though… i think we gotta wait for firefox3 to come out, then we’ll have a better comparison…
How come my FF is worse than IE??? Took soooooo long time to open one web..and another long time to another web?? Can die waiting oh!!!
Saw the release some time ago and I can’t wait to test this out. IE has been shite since forever. Even Safari is a thousand times better than IE.
i cannot install google tools bar on this web browser
massy –
nicktay – Yeah, and still room for improvement. I love its simplicity!
Kavi – I believe Chrome will do more damage to IE than Firefox in the long run.
kaDusMama – Really? Firefox is faster than IE, but slower than Chrome when it comes to loading. What version FF are you using?
Izad – To say IE is shite is an understatement of sorts. LOL.
iCalvyn – I actually hate toolbars.
been using internet explorer my whole life but after reading this post..I tried it out and i’ve officially been chromed as well!!brilliant stuff…simplicity is always the way to go…cant say much about facebook’s new thing though…absolute rubbish!
i already using it. Yup, it still got a bugs and i know the google people will fix this problem. I looking for their next release for another OS.
Chrome will take over the world!
I never did like IE to begin with. I only used it for about a month when I got my first ever PC, then switch to Netscape and now have been using FF for as long as I can remember. But Google Chrome sounds pretty cool. Going to try it out tonight …
Like you, I was a Netscape user and then switched to Maxthon, and then FF, now, I’m Chromed.
installed…
and deleted within 24 hours…
i still think firefox3.0.1 better at this moment…
many function from google chrome beta can be added through extension…
but i like the fact that closing a certain tab rather than the whole browser when you have crash problem…
but we will wait and see…
firefox 3.1 with grease monkey?
of google chrome…
terence – Google Chrome has just made a minor update, and it’s performing better now on Facebook (java applets and clicks). It will only be a matter of time before Chrome pushes IE. Firefox will be left behind.
