Iron Man Review (No Spoilers)
It’s very rare that I review movies, though you’d be surprised to know how many movies that I watch every week. On a side note, “Death Sentence” & “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead” are good movies to watch – gripping stuff. “There Will Be Blood” & “No Country for Old Men” are strange – just strange.
First of all, Robert Downey Jr is PERFECT as Iron Man, unlike the dumb-looking Tobey Macguire who ruined Spiderman. Marvel enjoyed some highs and lows – lows being all X-Men movies (please – stop lying to yourself, you know they were crap), the first Hulk (Ang Lee’s a moron), Spiderman 3 (for wusses who love to cry – you doormats!), Fantastic Four (yawn), Daredevil (the leading actor’s an imbecile).
Iron Man, is definitely a high. My verdict – simply magnificent! From the storyline, to technology to graphics. The gizmo is dazzling, the action is exalting, the comedy is sparkling and it pulsates with spectacular energy! Robert Downey Jr a bold choice for an action hero. Bravo!
P/S: Look out for Iron Man’s cameo in the upcoming Edward Norton’s HULK.
9/10 on the Gallivanter Scale. GO WATCH IT!

I totally agree. Didn’t think this movie was going to be any good.. but it turned out excellent! Robert Downey Jr is the PERFECT casting choice for Iron Man (just as I think Daniel Craig and Christian Bale were perfect for Bond and Batman). Two thumbs up.. and i’m hoping for a sequel soon!
Kadazanbonita It was a great movie – I was awed by the technical intricacies of the suit.
Izad Oh yes – I definitely agree with you on Daniel Craig as BOND and Christian Bale as BATMAN – both are the BEST actors for the role, not Sean Connery nor Michael Keaton!
just watched it earlier and i thought it was absolutely brilliant!the casting was just top notch.heard terrance howard is gonna get his own movie too…iron man’s sidekick..cant wait…

The movie looks incredible and I have no doubt the boys will be in total awe throughout, but don’t diss Spidey/Tobey.

Rob I haven’t heard of Nick Fury. But if it’s Samuel L Jackson then it’s a cause for concern as his last good movie was ages ago – The Negotiator.

Ok, true enough I guess. I am coming to the table w/ a limited experience of 8 years here. I’m a stand-by fan, my son brought him into our lives. I still disagree w/ you, but it is your space and you can have the final word on it….

Gallivanter, your Iron Man isn’t all that. Some are even saying ((ok, 1 person, but I like what he said)) :
“now here he is in Iron Man, the first allegedly gay man playing what may well be the first gay superhero”
“the analogies get more serious as the movie keeps going. Tony Stark gets kidnapped by terrorists and goes into a cave (closet) for a few months to build them a special bomb, but then he tricks them and “comes out” as the Iron Man. He then decides to stop being a weapons maker, which was obviously his “seriously, I’m not gay” cover, and decides to be a humanitarian. Are you seeing the Polaroid develop? No? Well, we’ll shake it a few more times for you.”

In all honesty, I just jumped on the first I found. I am curious now. We’ll see what I find.
