Aussie Oi Oi Oi, Czech Mate & Mama Mia Italia!
I dashed in and out of the right after work to catch the World Cup game between Australia and Japan. It looks like this will be a modus operandi for me over the next couple of weeks. And what a great game it was! Japan’s goal was definitely polemical, and seeing how the game panned out, Australia deserved the 3 points.Â
Just because I’m in Asia it doesn’t mean that I need to support Japan! Hello! What’s wrong with you constipated Malaysians? The freaking Japs were lucky to score that dodgy goal (unquestionably a foul on the goalie). I had a RM5 bet at work (OooOooOo…are the cops gonna catch me and shave my already bald head just like they did with the old chinese buggers during CNY??) on Australia to ding it by 2-1. The payout stood at RM80. I was beaming when Cahill struck the second goal, and with only ONE minute left on the clock, the drongos scored the 3rd goal! $&#*$#*$!! There goes my RM80! Blood hell! Betting is certainly the devil’s game. But unlike most yuppy tuppy Malaysians who bet the clothes on their backs, I know when to draw the line. RM5, and that’s it.
I decided to vamoose the Italy match, cause I think they’ll win it anyway (Italians 2-0!) and catch the CZECH game instead. I wanted the CZECHS to open a can of whoop ass on the Americans, and they did! Just felt sorry for them as they may have possibly lost Koller for the remainder of the world cup. All they have now is that otiose ex-Liverpool striker, Baros. Rosicky was astounding with his first goal. Didn’t see the second half as I was too jaded, but I knew CZECHS would win comfortably.
Awakened at 7:30am, and instantly plugged in my V3X to the Maxis World Cup portal to get the latest scores. I was radiating when I saw the results. TONIGHT, I’m gonna do a skipinder the punjabi kangaroo on the South Korean game as I’m hoping to watch France tackle Switzerland and also hopefully watch Brazil ravish Croatia. I think the Koreans should win their game against Togo, perhaps 2-1 or 2-0 and France to nick a 1-0 via Henry and Brazil to score 4 against the Croatians. Yesterdays first 2 games were entertaining. Let’s hope it continues! And least show the English how to play entertaining football!
Oh… the French didn’t performed to the expectation they are hyped for. Just like the English men. Even with so many stars in the team, the manager makes a difference too. Au revoir, Les Bleu.
Actually, no one expects France to do well, so I guess no surprises there, unlike England who think they’ll win the world cup. France still have a chance to qualify if they beat both South Korea and Togo. They need to play 2 upfront instead of Henry by himself. Vieira was terrible (thank God Arsenal sold him!).
Refer Aussie match. I wasn’t watching the first half as I was watching AXN, but I peeped at the score and found Japan leading 1-0. When AXN prog finished I told my freind “Ok, I will now watch the 2nd half. Be prepared for the Aussie revival.” He sorta scoffed at my optimism. 3 goals later and he’s lost for words.

Disagree with Shebby Singh in that there is a role for both Makalele AND Viera in the same team (see Brazil play two defensive midfielders inZe Roberto and Emerson).
