Germany 4 Costa Rica 2. What a pulsating game to kick off the WORLD CUP! I didn’t gestate this to be a high scoring game, and I’m sure neither did most of you. Germany were quite convincing up front but it was their defence who looked the tawdriest of all. I don’t like the 2 centrebacks at all, and I despised Friedrich – the worst German player.Â

It was a nerve-wrecking game (and I thought THE OMEN was full of suspense). And by the looks of things, it’ll be difficult to see how the Germans will advance to the quarterfinals if they continue to play a high defence line. Nevertheless, 3 points, that’s all that mattered. I’m 100% behind Klinsmann, as I have mentioned, Germany has been lacking quality players since 1998. No one managed to supercede my all-time favorite player, LOTHAR MATTHAUS. I was elated to see the official opening, especially when all the previous World Cup winners marched past, particularly the 1990 World Player of the Year, Germany’s World Cup winning captain.

Poland 0 Ecuador 2. Didn’t watch the game. It didn’t have the drawing power, and I certainly wasn’t gonna lose my sleep. Good for Ecuador for tumping over the form book! On with the next games in Group B, England vs Paraguay, Sweden vs Trinidad. Prediction? Wins for Paraguay and Sweden. Yes, I loathe England THAT much. The English sodomists deserve to win nothing but flatuses in their faces. Haha!

I will be missing the first 30 minutes of the England game, as I have a more significant thing to do in the form of CARS. Will divvy up my intellections after today’s matches and how the PIXAR flick panned out (50-50 chance that I may go).
