Captain Underpants?! WTF?
Sounds like a moniker for Wayne Balooney of Manure. 
But I think Shrek suits him better. LOL.
There have been so many malodorous cartoons over the last 15 years. Almost all were grotesque. I thought Johnny Bravo was not too tatty (had the Bravo disease years ago). My favorite cartoon during my puerility years was M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand), closely followed by Transformers and Thundercats (minus the irritating Snarf).
Here are some of the worst cartoon characters made for television – Tweety Bird, Scrappy Doo (the Yoko Ono of cartoons), Captain Planet, Doraemon (yuck!), all cartoons by Nickelodeon, Pokemon (the name that makes you wanna become a terrorist), Ducktales, Yogi Bear (annoying!), GI Joe and Smurfs…. if you like ANY of them, then I’m sorry that you had a terrible childhood. 
Hmmm…I hope that Hollywood does not turn M.A.S.K. into movie and botch up my childhood memories. Transformers could potentially suck, have to wait and see I suppose. Ego aside, what was your favorite childhood cartoon? Or most hated?
Among your crap-cartoon list, I can see there are a few titles that used to be my favourite. Captain Planet, Doraemon, Ducktales, and Smurf. Hahha. I had a somewhat terrible childhood… if that would please you.
MASK was one of my favourite too. The green bike.. whats the name ..? Oh, Condor. Am i right. I think MASK was even before Thundercats and Ninja Turtles.
Voltron… anyone?!
Hmmm this is a hard one, loved transformers and like you waiting on tip toes for the movie. but i loved He-Man – The Master of the Universe. He was awesome and unfortunately they made that into a movie and screwed things up – and worse so with Courtney Cock-Sarquette was in it. I just wonder why he and Shera-princess of power never got jiggy with it!
Hey..i must have had a bad childhood too coz i like Smurfs! Smurfaroo. Definitely MASK, Thundercats (how can you hate Snarf), Transformers, Spiderman (when it was in Sesame Street), Superman & Friends (with Iceman, Wonderwoman..blah blah), Southpark, Doug, Inspector Gadget.
Oh..i forgot Scooby Doo too

ok ok … i was a Care Bear Fan… since I admited that, I might as well admit that I liked Jem and the Holograms …… but I hated My Little Pony

Frankly, I like reading Doraemon comics…I don’t like watching the cartoon. Their voice very piercing to ears.

Mo Had to remind me of that gimpy cartoon, My Little Pony. LOL. Just remembered a few more shows, Silverhawks and Plastic Man. I loved Plastic Man!

Of course la, it’s my opinions… I don’t like anime. I would also like to add T-Bob (M.A.S.K.) to the list of useless cartoon characters… Speaking of useless cartoon characters, I give you Winnie the Poo…

I prefer watching Disney movies like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella..even the newer releases like Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Hunchback of ND, etc. etc.

He Man was the bomb. Dolph Lundgren sucked in the movie though.
I loved Thundercats, and Transformers and all that rubbish of course… but for me, the bombs were the good ol’ Merry Melodies cartoons. In 1983 I can still remember they played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on Channel 2 (now RTM2) from 4:15pm to 4:55pm (with a short break for Azan Asar. Road Runner was the bomb (hated the bird, loved Wily E. Coyote — my childhood dream was that if I ever became rich enough to buy over Warner Bros, I would make an episode of the Coyote actually doing the business on Road Runner… *beep* *beep* my arse!!!)
Deputy Dawg was good. Laugh-a-lympics with Snagglepuss was a roll too. And who can forget Woody Woodpecker!
Those were REAL cartoons!
keropok Good thing I didn’t watch the He-Man movie. I wholeheartedly agree with you on the Coyote to beat the daylights out of the Road Runner! And I love Deputy Dawg as well as Snagglepuss – “Heavens to megatroid! You look fabulous, even!”…LOL

cartoon i watch diligently nowadays are dexter’s lab (cant decide i like dexter or didi more) and totally spies
never watch MASK (different age gap hehehe) but I like to read doreamon rather than watching on tv. will never get bored of watching mickey mouse n frens

Oh no… Muttley with the wheezy laugh is from Laugh-a-lypics / Merry Melodies. He is the famous sidekick of Dick Dastardly. Incidentally, F1 fans will recognize that they look pretty much like Michael Schumacher (Dastardly) and team principal Jean Todt (Muttley).
