RIP Frank Barone (Everybody Loves Raymond)
ACTOR Peter Boyle, who played Ray Romano’s TV dad (Frank Barone) on Everybody Loves Raymond, has died at age 71. Boyle had been suffering from myeloma (tumours arising in the bone marrow) and heart disease.
Boyle was nominated seven times for an Emmy for his work on Raymond but never won. I will surely miss him, thanks to his crazy antics and sarcastic ripostes at Marie Barone. I loved EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND.
Marie Barone: Frank do you love me?
Frank Barone: YOU STILL NEED REASSURANCE, AFTER 45 YEARS OF BONDAGE?
Frank Barone: [to Ray] You’re even dumber than I tell people.
Marie Barone: We haven’t had a conversation for 35 years.
Frank Barone: I didn’t want to interrupt!
Marie Barone: Who keeps pornography for twenty-nine years?
Frank Barone: Anyone married to you.
May he rest in peace.
Peter Boyle was kick ass funny as hell. May his soul rest in peace!

Man, EVERYBODY loves Raymond’s one of my faves. It’s partly great because of him. RIP

Oh dear… Frank Barone is the only one on Everybody Loves Raymond who DARED to stand up to Marie Barone. The rest are just a bunch of pansies with no backbone, with the exception of Debra maybe.
Incidentally, Marie Barone is my pet hate on the show. Her character is beyond funny. She is the mother-in-law from hell for all married couples, and sometimes her character made me wanna chop her up with an a very large axe. It was that badddddd.
May Peter Boyle rest in peace.

I’ll certainly miss Peter Boyle. However, the role that I always thought of when I saw him was that of the Monster in “Young Frankenstein”. Classic. He was a great character actor will be missed. Another great gone.
