Learning to Accept Aging

Aging is a bummer. I’m carrying a number of injuries – left shoulder, right arm, right knee, left bum muscle and right ankle. Most of the injuries I got was from playing futsal. Yes, I’m injury prone, no thanks to my dodgy futsal shoes, which is half a size bigger than my usual size. It’s been giving me loads of problem. Healing has taken longer than it should thanks to aging.

Anyway, if you want to live a healthy life, don’t stop yourself from enjoying and playing sports or traveling. Whatever it is, remain active, don’t be afraid to sweat – brisk walks, or even sauna if you feel that you’re already over the hill. Water becomes as important as ever, but of course, not during exercise. A woman collapsed and died during a marathon as a result of too much water.

Doing house chores helps too, like gardening or home improvements. It helps calm the soul, as well as indirectly burning fat. If you hate the gym, then this is ideal.

Though I hate coffee (I used to love it when I was in my teens), small amounts helps a little, as apparently, research indicates that caffeine burns more fat. BUT, it has to be taken in moderation.

Going for regular massages helps to loosen up the tendons and maintain flexibility. Learning to accept and adapt to the process of aging will determine how you live your life when you’re an old fart.
