Celebrity Adoptions
Is this the latest fad? From Angelina Jolie to Madonna – their new hobby – offspring import accessories. Is there an underlining reasons? For fame perhaps?
I guess we will never know the true intentions of these celebrities, but just hope they’re doing it out of love, because if it is some form of gimmick to get media attention, then these attention whores are nothing but child kidnappers.
What are your thoughts on celebrity adoptions?
Yeah, I really hope it is out of pure love. These kids need so much more.
I think Jolie feels she need to save every kid on the street. For whatever reason I’m not sure.
For Madonna….hah no comment.
JOlie – i think has the childrens cause on her mind – she has been involved with children agencies right from the begining.
see if you have the money n u think you can emotionally support a child – i would encourage adoption –
madonna im not so sure – though after having her own kid she seems to have matured but you never know
Jolie is like mother mary for some reasons but she’s just not virgin. Dude, this is the 3rd post of the week with St.Angie Jolie. Jebus, slightly overdosed.
I do believe it has become very fashionable in the celebrity universe these days. There is a whole insights article on it I could share with you.
The ones who really cared about real-world causes (poverty eradication, hunger, etc…) were 3 fellas whoc put their money, time and effort into it long before it became fashionable:
1. Bob Geldof and Live Aid 1988
2. Bono, and 3. Quincy Jones – with their high-level campaign for the eradication of 3rd World debt, which has seen them lobbying intensely at the White House, United Nations, NATO, the Vatican and the World Bank, amongst others.
Genuine or not? I don’t think I want to be their adopted child.. the paparazzi’s attention is enough to dive me bonkers.
i want to adopt them instead… the stars.. ha ha
I guess there are some celebrities that adopt kids for the right reasons but when celebrities like Jessica Simpson (read is somewhere once) wants to do the same, you know something is not right! LOL

Angelina’s making it a good life out of the elsewise poor living of the kids. Well tat’s beside the point. She’s way too hot and attention wise, she deserves it..
helping the youngest..poorest..is doing a good deed
but put it as a hobby then no good.
children aint toys for collection, they need lotsa tender loving care. if one can afford to bear with all cost why not?

I was asking ppl the other day about adoptions. In Malaysia, it’s so frigging hard if you’re single. The chances it’ll be approved is next to none. And those in Cambodia, Vietnam (the places the celebrities go)… the fees are skyhigh. Come to think of it, maybe only the celebrities could afford this?
Whatever it is, good for the kids that got adopted lah.

For people like Madonna and Jolie, I think it’s genuine. Stars…you know lah, want children but dont want to lose their figures. (I promise you, it crushes your confidence level like blardie hell! To have a deflated baloon on your tummy and spend months or years trying to straighten out the flattened balloon) But Jessica Simpson????? Erm….her agent ask her to do it, izzit????
havin alot of son and daughter yet body still in shape! thts the onli reason i can think of! seriously
Loads of people adopt children to make the world a better place. Sure some people do it for the wrong reasons or mess up. Celebrities are just people who get more attention.

Yunno putting all aspects of “true love” aside, I think these kids would probably have a much better life than they ever would in their home country. Well more opportunities that is.

Faiez Well, adopting kids when you’re single is difficult apparently, even in Korea, as my best friend told me the other day. I think they’re just safeguarding the children’s wellbeing.
