Malaysian F1 vs Singapore F1

So, the world’s first night race, to me, was a YAWN. The night did not add any drama to it, only the side-winding dodgy roads saved it. It’s like watching in 2D, because on the sides, are only barrier walls. It looked as though the imagery would go under the green screen, for Singapore to insert computer graphics to show that there are more than just 12 humans in Singapore.
Whatever it is, Malaysia now apparently came back with a response, by moving the 3pm race to 5pm. OoOOoO. PAS youth would probably protest, because it’s close to evening prayers, hence forcing the Government AKA Petronas to spend another RM100 million to build a mosque on the circuit, giving birth to another 25 millionaires.
10 years ago, Malaysia spent RM286 million to build a circuit, and also on monthly maintenance to keep out rempits happy to race their kapcais on the track. It spurred their younger generation to “terrorize” KL at night with their bicycles.
Unfortunately, the F1 Malaysia is making some dunguloid loaded with millions to maintain the circuit’s tar, paint and grass with the occasional used tyres, the ingredients of someone’s fantasy drug. I was discussing this with my friend, and he mentioned the recent increase of petrol.
By golly, he was right, it’ll now quadruple the monthly maintenance, for the rich to take care of their aunties, uncles, pet sisters and goats who probably never heard of F1. They then seek help from their young ones, whose studies are fully borned by the government, who will come up with a brilliant deduction, after years of research and sending a nut to the moon, that F1 is actually the little button on the keyboard.
Let’s face it – when it comes to managing funds, we’re screwed. Just ask Azalina and her RM18 million tourism portal that will get unique hits up to 23 a day and be top of google ranking as another Malaysian “enterprise”. Malaysia boleh (just ask U.K.) curi-curi.
haha, very true indeeed. and i dont even have the rights to ask “hey, where did all my taxes gone?” sepang circuit lol. dont mention the petrol yet, crude oil’s less than 90usd per barrel and this fellas here still not revising on it. just by decreasing 10 – 15 cents out of the RM1 dollars increased? ridiculous. screwed.

Boring was an understatement la. I’m not into street circuits, they remind me of my Grand Tourismo game playing days … LOL!
Rempits?? Hmmmm…i almost killed one of the bunch last time..!
I thought the night race was pretty interesting though.
If Singapore had the race in the day… Who at the other side of earth would be awake to watch the race? This is a smart move to rake in the big bucks from television broadcasts.
I’m not against building a mosque near the circuit, but if the loudspeakers go off during the race…

Secondly, its true that Singapore F1 is boring that night.
Even i missed it, well, at least i won’t be jam-packed with other people around there.
Such are human-traffic-jam that night.
Whatever being built/developed in Malaysia is more for the benefits of certain people. Money wise I mean. Sigh.
But anyway, rempits are still terrorising the road, tak perlu nak buat circuit for them, but then again, it wasn’t for them, it was for some ppl pocket money.
To KadusMama, be careful not to hit the rempits, they can come satu kg and beat the hell out of the person who ‘hit’ their orang kg… scary.
adrianlee – Correct. Crude oil is down, but our petrol price remains. The best part is, the drop in prices is so drastic that in theory, they can afford to strip RM1 off the price. We’re screwed.

Nick Phillips – The best part was, I only caught a glimpse of the race, but no matter what they do with F1, it’ll never be the same since Schumacher retired.
kaDusMama – Careful bah, they come in gang like burung gagak!
KY – The concept was, but it was still dull. Monaco’s still da bomb!
decypher – LOL. Well, I’m not against night racing, but I feel that the race was dull. Looks like some computer graphics when the camera pans across the track from the sky.
Jesmond – Yeah, the race was boring wasn’t it. Human traffic jams…hmmm…we get it here too…KLCC during public holidays like Raya or CNY. It looks like an immigration office trafficking foreigners!
Faiez – Sad but true. Rempits are still a menace. I always chuckle when I see kids, under 15 years old, cycling around town in the wee hours of the morning. Future rempits. Sigh.
We had a blackout the night of the race.. right after Massa took the whole hose with him down the pit lane. I guess we didn’t miss much, eh?
Shemah – Nope, you didn’t.
As you know, I didn’t go for the Singapore GP and my men went only to experience what a night race is like. Other than that, I think F1 is best seen on TV. The best thing about the race in Singapore is that, when you get bored…SHOPPING is just a few meters away!!
Jewelle – Yeah, I’ve attended the Malaysian GP too, but it was superb because I witnessed Schumacher, falling behind to last, and finishing the race third!
