A Songwriting Process : The Melody
The final part. It helps A LOT if you know how to play any musical instruments. I seek solace in my trusty guitar, is has been my composing partner over the years, had its fair share of love and pain.
Learn a new chord if you wanna be adventurous, create a new chord if you wanna be bold. Just mess about the chords together, mix it up until you hear a melody that clicks. Decide the tempo of your tune based on your lyrics, what’s the best tempo to get this lyrics across?
Once the melody is created, fuse it with the drafted lyrics, now, it will normally be awkward at first as the lyrics will more than likely not match the tune. This is when you fine tune the lyrics, edit it, without affecting the storytelling sequence.
Man, I gotta get a piano in my house pronto!

WanderingSumandak LOL, playing the guitar requires practice, like any other instrument, and your fingers become calloused, like mine, but not any more now since I hardly touch the guitar.
