Listen to the Mandolin Rain

Bruce Hornsby‘s Mandolin Rain was diddling in my mind this morning as I was laboring to the office. I virtually cold-shouldered the music that’s playing in the car and meandered off to hallucinating about what I have accomplished in my personal life. Maybe it’s my heart expressing what I’ve been wanting over the past 2 years. I don’t know. *SIGH*The mood that I am in right now is completely delineated by the lyrics of that song. This song came and went, like the times that I spent enshrouding my heart’s hankering. You certainly dont know what you got till you lose it all.

However, I know that I have done my time but still there are moments that I’m not feeling so strong. Difficult times have helped me to empathize how immeasurably abundant and glorious life is, and that so many things that we worry about are of no important whatsoever.

So, when things are bad, we must take comfort in the thought that they could always be worse. And when they are, we find hope in the thought that things are so bad they just have to get better.

LISTEN TO THE MANDOLIN RAIN.

P/S: No, I’m not holding a cigarette, that’s a ballpoint pen. I don’t smoke. :-)
