REAL MADRID 0 ARSENAL 1 (Henry, 47th) The Art of Being “Perasan” (Vanity)
This may strike you as being vain, but I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, to the 3 friends who wrote about me in their respective blogs. I am thankful that I have made an impression in your lives and my blogs have inspired you in some sense. I am deeply humbled yet “perasan” at the same time. LOL! This gives me the impetus I need to preserve my mission to uplift mankind. Guess I’m on the right path.

“I felt that way for a very long time until ….. recently I `met’ someone through my friendster. His picture in friendster caught my attention and curiosity struck me. As I read his blog it blew me away to see an `almost’ a replica i would be if I did not hang onto all I have through the years………his blog is hilarious and funny and … with all this it has alot of truth instilled in it….I owe this to that person who rekindled my spirit. He may not even realize what he did but to you and your blog …. Thank you. Thanks for `Always, Me’ …. “

“hmmmm…however, I really salute this particular friend of mine (Dan). He and his whole bunch of buddies are funny! Goody, his group can be categorized as UN (ha ha ha..United Nation). Be that is may, i like hanging out with the lads. Dan also introduced me to my very first affair with Irish beer Kilkenny. My opinion? Kilkenny is in my beer list now…:-P”

“2006 and I have to say that this year started pretty well for me. Added new interesting and quality friends into my orbit. And recently even met one with a mind and character i’m tremendously enthralled with.”
Nothing solaces our vanity as a display of greater vanity in others; it makes us vain, in fact, of our modesty. Every person, however modest, keeps a most outrageous vanity chained like a lunatic bolted in his chest. Speaking of vanity, let me take you back in time, to 15th December 2005;

The Arrival of Lent
No meat. No chocolate. No alcohol. No sex. I will be abstaining from them come 1st March 06 (Ash Wednesday) until Easter (16th April 06). To those of you who don’t know what LENT is, it’s a period of a 40-day abstinence (giving up) – similar to Muslim’s fasting month, but the magnitude of the fast/abstinence is ultimately down to you. It’s between you and God.
I’ve been practising abstention since 1997, some 9 years ago, and haven’t looked back since. It’s also a yard-marker for your willpower. Believe it or not, it tinctures some form of discipline in you. Self-control is the keystone to success.
Something to Believe In
“I think your heart grows back bigger ya know, once you get the shit beat out of you. And the universe lets your heart expand that way, cause thats the function of all this pain and heartache that you go through and you gotta go through that to come out to a better place” – MUST LOVE DOGS (Diane Lane, John Cusack)“If I don’t believe in Jesus, how can I believe the Pope
If I don’t believe in heroin, how can I believe the dope
If there’s nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin
In a world that gives you nothing, we need something to believe in” – Bon Jovi – Something to Believe In (These Days, 1995)
