Starting All Over Again (Hail Caesar!)

Today is one of the most significant days in my family’s history. At last, our new pet, a 2-month old male Golden Retriever, has arrived. We picked it up from Petsmore, Petaling Street around 4pm today. My mom and I greeted the little fella, and I held it in my arms during the drive back home. 

I have yet to hear it bark, but I know that Golden Retrievers are by and large placid breeds. This little fella was quizzical, and I spent some time playing with it. It made me beam – it’s so unbelievably cute.

My mom and my stepdad instantly took liking to it. As I have remarked before, this is one of my favorite canine breeds – Golden Retriever. My other favorite is the Siberian Husky. My mom still wants to name it Shaggy, to uphold the memory of my previous pet who vanished a month ago. I proposed Caesar instead, and will campaign my case until the decision is made. I previously had already used the name Sinbad (a previous Labrador Retriever that I got for X’mas 2003 but it conked out a week later due to parvovirus). 

Hopefully, I can engage a training program this Sunday if all goes well. Right now, the moolah’s kinda paralytic as I’m hiving up for Bali. I spent a large sum of boodle on my car; 20,000km service, road tax and insurance. On top of it all, this is also the highest monthly interest I have accrued for my property. When it rains….wham bam thank you Sam! Once my 3-room condo is ready by the end of the year, I will be lodging in, and probably rent the other 2 rooms until I’m stable enough (or get hooked up). Haha!
