The Evolution of My Blog

I embarked on blogging via Friendster, back in November 2005, before advancing to Blogger in January 2006. I then decided to get my own domain in August 2006, and it’s been a little over 2 years since then. In 2 years, I switched my blog’s layout thrice. I believe in some form of longevity.

This was my first design, well, not quite, as most of the CSS/images are no longer available (it had a red background actually!), hence the above screen capture does not capture the way it looked back then. I stayed with this layout until the beginning of 2007, when I stripped down the red background for simplicity.

The merriment of regularly modifying the header images eventually became a ball-buster, and with that, I began my work on the next design, which was launched towards the end of October 2007.

This was a radical change to blue – because RED is my favorite color. And the best part was, the above theme was an adhoc choice after getting feedback from a few people, on 3 different designs. If you’re flummoxed with a few possible designs and you can’t decide, just drop all 3 and keep looking.

In line with being radical, the decisiveness for my next design was not as herculean as the previous effort. I wanted to straggle from the coolness of blue and embrace the greenness of earth. A change of color to reflect the shifting to the next phase of my life.

I hope that you have been entertained reading this blog of mine, especially to those of you who knew me throughout the years. Thank you.

:-)
