Malaysian Police Brutality on Kugan
[ad]
OK, he may be a suspect, but does it give the police the right to bash someone up? Why didn’t they smash Canny Ong’s murderer while he was in police custody? Indians, regrettably in the eyes of the rest of Malaysians, are labelled as felons and hoodlums. trashy tamil flicks do not help either.
Generalization defeatingly flourishes in Malaysia. Chinese would sell their soul for RM1, Malays are perceived as dumb and lazy while Indians are gangsters and thugs. Adversity do not give Indians the right to rob. But, you don’t see Indians raping their own children do you? Of course, the lesser of 2 evils is still, evil. If they are given the chance to join the government as civil servants, I’m sure they’ll embezzle funds the “legal” way.

Did the police believe that they could cook up some tale for the Malaysian public to naively accept it without questions? I was made aware in 1997 of police brutality in Malaysia as a norm. Apparently, they resorted to beating up suspects in custody as a form of exercise, perfecting the art of not having bruises appear on the body. These days, they seem to beat you to death, then ask questions.
The police consulted some witch doctor for the post mortem, and the doctor “confirmed” the bullshit that he died of fluid in the lungs. He evidently drank too much water (gasp! our teachers lied to us – burn ‘em all!). The doctor, was probably some blind masseuse paid RM10 to fabricate the report.
The irony of Malaysian police. Criminally legal. And to top it off, our notorious goofball, the Home Minister, warned the 2 deputy ministers who accompanied the family to the mortuary, that action will be taken against them. For “barging” into the mortuary? Is he gonna lunge ISA on them or the attendant there for opening the mortuary doors? Bitch please.
I suggest you bookmark Malaysiakini’s Youtube Website, it will help you not buy into any hogwash by the mainstream media. I suggest that you also read Malaysia Today, especially on RPK’s posts, those are indeed eye openers.
Kugan’s video is on Youtube. Sigh. RIP Kugan, you may have your sins to bear, but the Malaysian police’s handling of you is simply barbarous, and may the culprits be brought to justice. The Attorney General himself has classified this case as murder.
But somehow I have my doubts, and feel that this story will wither in time, just like the many cases in the past few years.

Fill in the gaps. Justice – Malaysian style.
1. Rob 2 Billion from the Bank Negara, you become Tan Sri and Finance Minister. Rob 200 Ringgit from Jaya Jusco to feed your family, and you go to Sungai Buloh. Who am I talking about___________________
3. Rape a teenage girl, the girl ends up going to the Religious court. The defending lawyer ends up in Kamunting. The Rapist remains a Tan Sri. Who am I talking about____________________
4. I named a Submarine after my Daddy. My Daddy engineered a riot 40 years ago, and he died in London. Who is Daddy?_____________________
5. I like to play with Keris. I keep quiet when someone very important is accused of playing with Keris, because I like to put my Keris into Buntut and Main main. Who am I_____________________________
6. I nearly lost in a Kampung in Negeri Sembilan. 5,413 postal votes then arrived. I won. Who am I?_____________________________
7. Bonus question: Name the Kampung?_______________________
8. What did a leading opposition figure call me?____________________
9. What is my name? I got imprisoned upon returning from Kota Kinabalu in 1969. I also got imprisoned numerous times for being a whistle blower, most famously in 1987 when the son of question number 4 made incendiary remarks at a Rally in Kampung Baru______________________
10. Anyone for a game of golf. Don’t laugh, or you might die. Who am I?______________________
And there you have it. Malaysia truly Asia. The 10 boys above prove that it there is no such thing as Malaysia Boleh. But if you have enough cash, enough friends, and know what to do, you can snort cocaine off the top of a Mercedes in Bukit Bintang and YELL:
Saya Boleh.
Hahahhaha… I’m tired with all of this lie!! ‘we’ keep blaming other country on their social problems, war, humility..but look at the local at very own Malaysian people..the evil is there…
I agree with you Daniel ‘they’ do it in the name of JUSTICE. What is justice anyway? they cant answered it. Then they swear in the name of *****..pity…’they’ dont have a right to taken away people life, dignity and pride in the name of JUSTICE..
Dont want to write more..the more I write..my hand wouldnt stop hehehe.
Hey Diarmund..I know the answer..some..hehehhe
Alv0808’s last blog post..The Way You Look At Me..
I suppose as bloggers, we can keep this story (and many others like it)alive… perhaps a sort of “what happened around this time in 2009″ kind of thing.
Oh, and I totally dig Diarmuid Curran’s comment above!

Well, it’s sad. But what goes around, comes around.
foongpc’s last blog post..The Wedding Game
RIP to Kugan, what a sad tragic event. Injustice & abuse of power are both the norms of Malaysian Police. I’d say. I’ve never applauded any of their jobs well done anyway.
Mimi’s last blog post..Home already..
The way I see it, someone wants the case solved fast enough. Sadly in Malaysia, u’re always guilty until proven innocent. Sometimes I wonder by what measure do they hire the defence and enforcement team nowadays. By quotas? Intelligence and real passion is totally out of the question because in our country everyone is desperate to work with the govt, regardless. Sigh…
One Other’s last blog post..Rainy days…
i was shocked to see the vid. i knew such things happen behind bars but to see it….gosh. RIP Kugan

Diarmuid Curran – Hahahaha! I had a good laugh trying to guess these “champions”.
Alv0808 – Typical, it’s a deflection campaign so the govt hope that the rakyat can unite that way if they agree to disagree.
Terra – Yes we can (Obama style).
Aj – It already is, just under the disguise of democracy.
sweetie~ – I hope so. I really do.
foongpc – I hope so.
Mimi – You’re not the only one who said so – beating up people in jail, especially Indians, is a norm…a part and parcel of police training.
One Other – If someone wanted this case solved fast, it would’ve been solved in 24 hours. All 11 policemen would’ve been suspended and caught and be taken to court. Some people say not all policemen are like that, many are honorable. I don’t believe it is, because if there were honorable policemen, this can would’ve been closed a long time already because it took place in their backyard!
Yvy – Yeah, it does happen behind bars, but what’s shocking that it looks like racially motivated. You heard about the Indian guy in Brickfields police station being scalded by hot water thrown by police? The police know that the public will trust them over what these “felons” claim, that’s why they’re becoming more daring.
Can’t stand the suspense.
Want to know.
Here goes:
10 out of 10 = Reads Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today obsessively, or very corrupt. Title: Tan Sri
7-9 out of 10 = Knows enough about this place. Title: Datuk
4-6 out of 10 = Smart enough, but your just ordinary.
3-5 out of 10 = MCA and MIC member, Palm Oil plantation, Bandar
Kuala Lanchap.
0-2 our of 10 = Mentally defective malnourished offspring of a toll booth collector, deepest Kampung Tahi Panas, lifelong BN member, who believes Mummy and Daddy got their job from BN. Reads Utusan and lives in an attap hut with candle light, no internet, and has a BN and UMNO Flag outside.
1. Daim Zainnuddin, or the Former Central Bank Governor Jaafar Bin Hussein (Both, I reckon they were doing it together)
2. I skipped two because I got bribed. I bet you did’nt see that. Hahaha, so you can forget about becoming Tan Sri now.
3. It could be a former chief minister of Melaka, who subsequently got fired by Mahathir. He has some Cheek.
4. Abdul Razak Hussein, who in cahoots with the former chief minister of Selangor – Harun Bin Idris allowed a parade to take place starting from Kampung Baru on May 13th 1969. Of course, the history behind that is hidden.
5. Hishamuddin Hussein, the education minister who cares so much about Malaysian education that his children are educated overseas. By contrast, Anwar Ibrahims kids were all educated in….Malaysia.
6. Khairy Jamaluddin bin Abu Bakar.
7. Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Did’nt realise it had 40,000 people in it. Thats bigger than most places where I come from (Ireland)
8. The Richest Unemployed.
9. Lim Kit Siang.
10. Sultan Mahmud Iskandar Al-Haj ibni Sultan Sir Ismail Al-Khalidi (You would’nt want to be giving these guys blowjobs, thats a real mouthful).
