Top Gun (1986)
A movie that captured the hearts of men when it first flew to the big screen, and is soundtrack remains one of the most popular. Kenny Loggins stamped his presence on the album, with tunes like “Danger Zone” and “Playing with the Boys”. Giorgio Moroder wrote “Danger Zone” – a kick ass track that opens the movie.
And who can ever forget the one-hit wonder from Berlin, “Take My Breath Away”? I also enjoyed the tracks by Loverboy, “Heaven in Your Eyes” and Cheap Trick’s “Mighty Wings”.
Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Tom Skeritt, Michael Ironside, Tim Robbins, Meg Ryan. A Bruckheimer direction with F-14 Tomcats all over the place.
Here’s the haunting anthem, by Harold Faltermeyer. “I feel the need…the need for speed.”

Harold Faltermeyer – Top Gun Theme

LOLLLLLL!!! I just saw this DVD at the DVD store where I purchase my weekly DVD and I think it’s funny seeing Tom Cruise!
He have this “BoyBand” look lah. LOL!
Oh, the Top Gun Theme brings back memories… That year, suddenly everyone wanted to become a fighter pilot! A friend of mine was so inspired and wanted to become one, but became an engineer at Malaysia Airlines instead. That’s kinda close I guess.
And Asstro is beaming Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux these 2 weeks. Hilarious!
Great movie… it has filled our childhood with memories of flying the skies with absolute freedom…
ethel Yeah, he looks like a kid. But back then TOP GUN was every guy’s favorite movie.
Zie That is close – better than most of us who dreamed of flying fighter jets.
Wombat I remember those movies. OTT comedy.
Jase Lee Agreed.
easily the best soundtracks out there…. Bruckheimer really knows how to make the US Navvy look good… thats his trademark… as seen in The Rock, Transformers, etc/.
Mo You mean theme song right? Cause the best soundtrack for me is still Footloose.
Dulu can say lah Tom Cruise is a cutie, hunk, or handsome… But now… Even his wife cakap he snores lepas tu they have to sleep in a separate bedroom… Wakakakakkaka~
Davelynne Where do you get such information? At Perez Hilton’s ka?
